![]() I have a 15 base WRX, Alpine HU, 18 MFD SWAP, I was cleaning up wiring and somehow all my illumination for climate control, steering wheel, hazard button, cubby and oem footwell lights are not working. The buttons all function, fortunately. I checked all fuses, checked light relay on driver side.
I think it has something to do with violet and Black/ white wires. I tapped into them to power the sti logo on console and cubby light in center. Those 2 color wires are responsible for all the lights that are out. Any input would be greatly appreciated

![]() I had an issue with immobilizer couple years ago, wasn't able to start car. Took to local auto mechanic and Gold Rush Subaru, neither one would touch it because they couldn't "communicate with the car" meaning if their reader wouldn't tell them what was wrong they didn't want to deal with it. I had it towed to Roseville Automall Subaru and they basically cut all of my wiring, aftermarket and otherwise. They couldn't tell me which wire was issue but I had to begin the task of repairing and replacing all the harnesses.
I say that to say this, when I tied into violet and B/W wire for center cubby light all I saw were those 2 wires by themselves, under H/U and to the right, can anyone tell me where those wires went to originally? I assumed straight to cubby light but I might be wrong. Everything was working fine not to long ago, this just happened. |

![]() I connected cubby light wires to pin 1 and 2 on stereo harness, and still nothing. Does anybody know if B/W wire should be grounded to chassis? I used a multimeter and there weren't any shorts between the various connectors.
