Default Intercooler Tilted

When look at the front of my car through the scoop the whole right side of the intercooler is tilted. It doesn't seem that my motor is tilted just the intercooler.

It seems like the motor mounts are fine. I pulled my ebrake all the way up put it in first and let the clutch out slowly and the motor moves a little. But my car is also high mileage and from the records from the previous owner there is nothing saying that he changed the mounts. So im assuming thats normal from all the wear and tear.

Anybody ever come across this problem? When I bought the car it was never like that, but I recently noticed it.

Normally it should be level from L to R with a slight tilt up from the front towards the rear. At least that's how mine is/was with the stock set up...

The intercooler is bolted up wrong. Check the bolt on the drivers side of the intercooler, most likely it is bolted the wrong way. If so, it will cause the intercooler be at an weird angle.

Wow, is it possible to bolt up the intercooler wrong? You must have to be one of those folks that can break anything to accomplish that, heh.

Have you checked the brackets that the intercooler mounts too?

Mine's tilted a bit too. I'm not worried about it. Looks like one of the brackets is slightly bent. Probably the passenger side bracket. It doesn't really matter.

Thanks guys. I mounted the bracket on top instead of underneath.

Are you sure the passenger side is tilted up, and not the driver's side a little lower? Close your hood slowly and see if you can tell from outside, look how the splitter meets up with it. Is the passenger side scrunched, or is there a gap on the driver's side?

crap I took too long

If you're not paying attention it can happen, and after you bolt it in you think "why does that look funny?". Don't bother asking how I know
