Default Corvette Grand Sport Style Fender Stripe - who's done it?

I've saw a few Subaru's with this done in the PRON video (the part with the EVO vs. STI commercial). I personally sort of like the look. I suppose it's a pretty popular thing these days... I was thinking of doing it to my black wagon (red stripes) as it will be ~$10 in materials and is an easy way to give the car a different look. Thoughts? Ideas? In case you are wondering what I'm talking about, see this: (i'm talking about the red fender stripe, nothing else).

The PRON commercial is here - there are at least 2 subies in it with the stripes:

Yea, I think red would look cool. Give it a try. Maybe try it with red electrical tape before actually painting it just to see if you like it.

I'm going to do it with red vinyl. Should be pretty cheap (~$10-15 from a local shop). I did a photoshop but my computer closed it without saving it... it looked OK, but not sure if I liked it. (I'm also not very good at photoshop). I probably will do it with vinyl and I can always pull it off if I don't like the way it looks.

Since it's a domestic, you can't call it ricey if you copy it. Guess its corny? It's a vette thing, and it should be left that way. Do you see vette drivers with roof vents and driver/codriver stickers? Please. No. Don't. Ouch.

If vette owners can do this, then 2 stripes on your car will look great. Its your car. Go for it. I had it on mine.

Rubbish,

And BTW I did not realise that a popular thing from 10 years ago is the thing to do these days.

gaugeof12, thanks for the photoshop! I need to learn how to photoshop like that, I can never get mine to look realistic. What tools in photoshop did you use to keep the glare of the light on the modified part?

I definitely like the second one better.

wrx nig, looks really good - what is the width of each stripe?

The chop I did for you was really simple. Put the stripes on a separate layer from the car. Set that layer to "color" in the layer styles drop down at the top of the layers menu. Then just rotate the stripes and erase what you dont need.
