At the Track Flooded Cars in the Tristate

We wanted to let everyone know that those who have had their cars effected by flood waters we can help out for sure.

DO NOT attempt to start your car if it's been flooded at all. There is a good chance that it may have gotten water into the cylinders somehow (don't ask we've seen cars hydrolock even though they weren't running when the car was in the water)

Have it towed over and we can pull the plugs and give it a once over before even attempting to start it up.

If it is going to be covered under insurance, we can hold it for you and provide leverage if the insurance company tries to low ball you or say it wasn't due to flooding. We can also store it until the insurance company takes it away if they do total it for you.

Stay dry folks and hope everyone faired ok in the storm.

Thanks guys. Just got home, from the day job. Had 10 crews working in South Orange tonight, got 400+ residents back up and running which is cool stuff. Had a visit from a guy in a WRX with blue/white lights and a radio. Someone said he was the mayor of SO. Bed time now in at 6:30am tomorrow.

see if someone on here wants the wheels. maybe trade them for wrx stockers +cash. Sell whatever you can and replace with stock items if possible (if insurance doesnt cover)

That's awful. If you need any help, just let us know, not sure what we could do to help but will try.

There's not much to part out, kept it stock since NYC streets are a pain to drive in a lowered car.

@Mike

Thanks for the offer, I think a hairdryer and some baking soda should help.

Reg it in a state that doesn't have "total loss titles" and you are golden. Haaa.

I had my home under water as well, so I know how much of a PITA dealing with insurance is.

I lost my STI in the hurricane. I live in Little Ferry in an apt complex. Water was into the car and up as high as the gauges. I personally had no issues with GEICO. I exchanged title for a check 3 days after they looked at my car, which was only 2 days after the hurricane. People were flown in from OH to help in our area.
Im still looking for a replacement. The STI was my second Subaru and Im not sure what Im going to get next. I looked at a Cooper S and a Wrangler Sport. however, I know I will miss the boxer so Im still still deciding what to do. With the way the economy and my job is, Im leery of taking on a big payment again. I found a 96 Impreza with a V1STI engine swap for sale. Still trying to get info about it passing inspection before I buy that.

A crappy situation but I only lost a car. People in my town lost a lot more than that. I am lucky.
