April 24th is Easter. I'm most likely going to be in town and willing, but I'm guessing others may not be. Plus, Easter Sunday might be a busy travel day to do a cruise on...

At this point I should be free for any of those dates but I'll probably be Subaru-free as well. Maybe I'll luck out and somebody will have what I want on the lot.

What, no one else bit on this? What's the latest with the LGT? Got a buyer? And find a replacement vehicle yet?

The goal is to have it stock and sold by the end of April. I have a couple of interested parties.

The replacement vehicle will be a 2011 SWP STI 5 door. Hopefully I can find one fairly local but I'll order one if need be. Driving the Celica for a while will make it that much better when I actually get my STI.

I was going to buy an '04 WRX this weekend as a daily driver but I figured that money would be better spent on the new car instead (or on something like student loan debt, rather than another toy). If anyone wants a really cheap WRX that needs a bit of work, let me know.

Doh...

I removed April 24th as it's Easter and fixed June to be the 5th, not the 4th.

Any votes for a specific date?

I may be interested depending on the amount of work that needs to be done.

Anyone have an STI wing that they want an actual trunk to mount it on for?

I'm your guy. I'll sell it for cheaper to the local guys. I don't think there's much interest right now.

I would love to buy it, but I just bought a new computer last weekend! But if the current offer stays at $0 I might just HAVE to try and get it.

Oh and there's that whole college expenses thing...

It's still so much BS that it was wrecked

I WANT! Have you ever had any problems with the engine, tranny, or center diff.? Did the rear diff. get damaged in the accident? Have they given you any information when the auction will be? It just says future sale on their website..

Haha - I think they took a picture of the mileage through the inside of the car, looking out one of the windows.

I noticed it too and was wondering myself.

I don't know anything about the auction. I let my insurance company take the car because the buyback was more than I was willing to spend to take it back.

I just googled my VIN to see if I could figure out where the car ended up.

The engine is in perfect condition. I checked the compression when I bought it stock with 27,000 miles and it was perfect. I put about 6000 miles on it as stage 2.

As for the of the drivetrain... I'm really not sure. Everything in the passenger side rear was shifted forward, even the rear sub frame, so the rear diff is cocked to the right a bit if you're looking from the back. I drove it about 3 - 4 miles to catch the guy who hit me. I can't say if this damaged anything or not but I don't think so. The center diff went to full open and was flashing but I think this is because the wheel speed sensor got broken on the impact but again, I didn't verify this so I can't say for sure.

If I had had the funds to build an RSTi and the buyback price had been right, I wouldn't have hesitated to do it. As it was, I just needed it paid off so I could move on and get a new car.

So I found out today that the problem I was having with my transmission the whole time was a $150 discus coupler bearing. So the $1500 I spent at DS1 was potentially all a waste.

:double angry:

Cottman FTW!
