Question Aftermarket fogs wired to factory switch??

Can i wire after market high output driving/fog lights (piaa 520s) to the factory fog switch? Would i burn or melt an wires/harnesses because there is to much wattage/amperage for the stock wiring to handle? Any help? Tanks

I may be talking out of my arse, but I think that the factory fog light switch just turns on/off a relay which then sends power to the fog lights. So if that assumption is right, using the factory fog switch should be just fine.

You might melt your wiring harness for the fog lights though if the new lights have a considerably higher wattage than the stock fog lights.
