Default Video: Man does donuts in an Audi R8 on public roads

Quote:
So what does a rich bored Russian do in the middle of the day? Yes, you guessed it, donuts in his Audi R8 in broad daylight on public roads. Check out this video of a man taking out his Audi R8 on a public road and just letting it loose. You can actually see a couple of cars drive by at the end.
Of course if we ever bought an $118,000 supercar, we’d take care of it a little more than… ahh who are we kidding, no we wouldn’t!
Click through for the video.

Hey If you can afford the car you can afford the maintenance right? Looked like good times.

i wonder if they have insurance laws there. i'd wonder if anyone at those companies would see this and revoke coverage or make a mad spike on their premiums.

So what is going on mechanically when his rear wheels are spinning and the front wheel are turning in two different directions? I'm not up to date on my Audi differential technology.

Also: I like the cold -> donuts time of 2 seconds. Yay for cold lubricants.

if i saw that guy doing that stuff i'd be looking to throw a full soda bottle into the street at his general direction. less about jealousy and more about rewarding the guy for being a d-bag. you're just asking to get crapped on when you're being so blatant about it. i second the idea of it being a service guy, because if i owned a car like that i could think of several better uses for it than doing donuts on the street.

this tool should be using that car to pickup some women.

In an open diff if the drive shaft is stationary the wheels will rotate in opposite directions. Odds are the drive shaft is turning one of the wheels the ABS is not stopping it and both wheels basically are coming off the ground/unloading at times as the rear bites. I will have to watch it some more. Very odd eitherway.

Peace,

Greg

Nope, just that "Quattro" system is seeing an extreme situation and doesn't/wasn't programmed to know what to do.

Mechanically it's not that bad.

Peace,

Greg

It looks like he is headed straight for the curb at the end there... I wonder if he ran up on the curb! Oh, and if this was my car, I wouldn't do this kind of crap to it... I don't even do that in my Subaru!

If the driver was the Russian mobster that owns the car, he does what he wants.

If it was his service technician, they'll probably find chunks of his corpse in various dumpsters near the shop.

Dasvidania!

This is a News and Rumors post, why?

I went ice racing last week, can I find a video of that and post it in News/Rumors too?
