I don't have a picture but I saw a civic with 2 spares on the front and 2 stock wheels on the back. The only thing I could think of was WOW what a fail..

The things people do to look "cool" I will never understand it.
I can't believe the axle didn't snap in half looking at the notch it made. |

I can't believe some of the things these poor cars go through. Could you imagine if they all drove EJ205/5mt applications? I'd go into the transmission and engine rebuild business and come out a millionaire.

When I started it (after a few cranks and a boost from my own Subaru) the owner informed me that he doesn't have it (a street-parked car) registered/insured so I would have to use my own insurance to take it to a nearby mechanic for inspection. He also informed me that I would be driving as a result, which is good because he didn't have a license. We wisely decided against the car and that was before I even attempted to move it a few inches. Who knows what mysteries the braking system contained? |

I don't think it was literal motor oil so much as the brake fluid had degraded to the point where it had the colour and consistency of such. I was afraid to pop the cap and sniff it.
I feel bad for whoever eventually ended up buying that heap. Maybe it just got scrapped. |

SP 1 took 1.5 hours to run through. Still need to do SP 2. As to sludge, I did a Mopar V-8 once that had at least 3lbs of sludge in the lifter gallery, no clue how much was in the pan or the rest of the engine. I had the owner (a sorta friend of mine) in there with a scraper to remove most of the sludge. |

The sidewalls on those are pretty flexible. I bet I wouldn't take much.

Rats In A Murano!
So.........
A Murano got towed into the shop, THE customer had been gone all weekend, tried to start it monday morning and it choked out sputtered and died and would not start up again. More engine codes than can be listed on the CEL. The technician opened the hood and there is a rat nest on top of the engine! The vehicle had been in the garage all weekend where they keep the bags of dog food, the rats had gotten into the dog fod bag, and stored dog food all over the engine bay! In the radiator support, under the cowl and all in the air box and air intake! When the customer tried to start the vehicle it actually sucked dog food all up into the throttle body and into the intake and the engine cylinders. Tech vacuumed out all the dog food, and got it to start...sort of. The valves are screwed up on the motor. Customer then had their Insurance company come to look at the vechicle for a claim.
