Thumbs up MMP Winterx Series Round 2 December 19th 2009

Wintercross is a mix of Rally, Autocross, and Road Racing. Held exclusively on the world famous Miller Motorsports Road Course in Tooele, Utah. Combining all aspects of a driver's skill to navigate a course unlike any other, the conditions of the track are left to nature, and the course of the day. Snow, Ice, Water, Slush, Dirt, Gravel, Mud, are a few of the conditions that can be encountered. Drivers must anticipate track conditions, speeds and tire choice in order to obtain the title of Wintercross Champion.

Not if you want a good turnout.

All we need now is some arctic air temps to turn that water and melting snow into beautiful ice! The only downside I can see with slippery conditions is that lap counts will suffer do to slow speeds and people going off track.

Biggie is right. Bad weather=a bad turnout.

Here's another thing to consider. As soon as it got wet at the last Wintercross, everyone was hitting cones and going off track. It took a long time to get through the three timed runs (they were the wet ones), considering the low number of people there.

If the track is snow covered, we would have problems getting the timed runs done. It will take time to pull the stuck cars out of the off-track mud and snow. Also, after enough cars run over that snow, it will be pure ice. I'm ready with my snows this time.

I'm not... You will just lose all the sports car guys. And the not so hardcore rally guys. The success of any event at MMP hinges on participation.

If the track is clear I get to drive the EVO, if not the Yaris. I'd rather race the EVO. Even though it was fun beating every 2.5RS, WRX and even 2 STIs at the Yaris' last wintercross event. Winning overall in the EVO would be a blast!

If anyone has some 285/30-18 snow tires I could borrow, that would be great!
