Im not sure what they are thinking. I sold a TON of Aspen White ones and ZERO Satin White STIs. The only MY07 we got in white we had to dealer trade after sitting here for months. The first 4 MY08s sold in Ohio were Aspen.
Satin white Imprezas are lame ducks, although I wonder if this hints at a STI Ltd..........

Satin white was tied for 2nd best selling color on the 2007 STI. Aspen white is 2nd from last on the 2008.

FYI:

I want and would buy an R1e. It's perfect for my daily commute.

I hope it has the potential Subaru has said. If it can really go 80 miles on a charge and charge quickly. Thats all I need.

Not really - it's the same process... the reason I don't always answer is that it just creates a whirl of "yes it is" "no it isn't" comments.

I'm still kinda disappointed that WR Blue in not a color option for the Legacy or the Forester.

WR Blue on a 2009 Forester XT Limited would've been my first choice. Now I got black on black - it's going to be hot as balls in the summer.

Hi Unclemat - in talks with my colleagues, this doesn't seem to be a prevalant issue, but this really isn't the forum for this kind of request. It's not my area to talk about. Individual customer issues need to go through Customer Service (1-800-Subaru3). Sorry.

Does that mean that Lighning Red will be replaced by Paprika for 09?

I'm planing to get an 09 WRX or STI and I would hate to miss on a true Red color again like i did last year.

Hahah, I like being in the minority for car colors. When we have the yearly Wicked Big Meet (that SOA attends) and there are over 1,000 cars, most are black or blue. About 6 are San Remo Red (i had an 05 at the last show), and now I have a Lightning Red and SWP 08 WRX.

I do think that Paprika/Maroon colored Reds arent the way to go. The 07 came in a similar color and only lasted one model year. But red isnt a subaru color either way.

Hm,

At least someone wanted them, we dealer traded for grays and blues.

Could just be a midwest thing, I can't remember the last time I even saw a SWP Impreza in here.

Although I do currently have 3 black STIs in the shop

SOA should do Honda Championship White!!! It would look good with the sti badges too!

although I have to admit, my father really liked the look of SWP on the new Impreza over the Aspen White on mine....but I think he is color blind so he doesn't count fully

bring back a green too, that would be sweet

I don't care what colors Subaru goes with - make the Impreza GT with leather option - sun roof and diesel today and I'll be there in 5 minutes with my money. Till then my 25mpg old Legacy stays mine and I wait for something with better milege, leather and solid AWD.

Note if the milege is way - way better and style is good I might cry a little over not having a AWD Subaru but its also something I would consider.
