Default No Power locks, windows, and backlighting.

Well a few weeks ago I noticed that whenever I hit the power door button, it would make a clicking noise, which sounded electrical, and wouldnt move, then move, then pause, then move.

The problem went away, and came back, while the power window clicked, the cluster backlight would flash.

Well now nothing works. The gauge backlight, or any backlight for that matter. The dome light, when the door is open doesnt work but you can flip it on and off and it works just fine, and of course the power windows and locks dont either.

Any suggestions?

Thanks again.

Josh

This may sound wierd... but put on your hazards then turn them off... I had an electrical problem.. my amp sometimes just shuts down for no reason... clicked the hazards and it seemed like it 'popped' the system and made everything work again.. Just a thought?? On a more serious note it sounds like something is grounded wrong.. have yo performed any electrical work to it???

If the Hazards doesnt work, lol, which it may but I doubt, I would get some SERIOUS electrical work/check up done. Sounds like you are having a more serious problem that is centralizing somewhere.

Theres is a module under the dash just to the right of the fuse box that controls all of these items. It has 2 plugs on the front facing down toward your shins if you were sitting in the car, make sure these are both plugged in good. If you unplug that module under the dash and nothing changes it may be bad.
You can also check all the fuses in the car, both under the hood and the dash. All the lights locks windows and crap are controlled by that box, so any mods could have messed it up.

Hope that helps
Adam

I will check this tonight. It is possible that at some point these came loose during my many engine managment changes. The AP required you to go in there. I was suprised someting like this happened seeing as I have had gauges, and turbo timer hooked up for almost a year with no problems. But All of a sudden. So ya I will check that tonight.
THanks.

Update-

Ok so I checked the box that points towards my shins with the 2 plugs, thoose plugs were inserted properly, and still nothing. Now adays with the illumination fuse IN it doesnt even flash the dash lights anymore, and the windows dont even attempt to move. Where previously, there would be a clicking sound now there is none.

is there anyway to check that box to see if its broken(i assume it is)

Thanks for the help

Josh
