I know fender rub is a constant battle when going for the "stanced" look, but how many of you guys experience rubbing issues between the tire and your fender liners when at full steering lock? I'm considering a set of 18x10 Work Meisters with a +5 offset and this is one of the things I'd like to figure out before I take the plunge.

That's going to need a LOT of work in order to get that to fit. They will poke a lot. You're going to need a big stretch, roll, pull, and lots of camber. Go on willtheyfit.com and you can type in the specs of your new wheels and it will give you a good indication of how much more they will poke over your current setup.

The plan is to cut the fenders and run Karlton flares, so I'm not so worried about poke or fender rub. I think 18x10 in that offset is fairly conservative with the flare width.

I had 17x9.5 +35 wheels on the car at one point with a mild drop, rolled fenders, 245/40/17 tires, and -2 degrees of camber all around. Never had rubbing. I'm just curious if that extra 37mm out from the hub added to the steering arc will cause problems.

Okay well with flares that changes the game! But still the difference from 9.5 +35 to 10 +5 is a large difference, but I think you'll be okay. As far as your concerns about steering go, I'm not really sure. I'm sure you will feel a difference in the steering, but nothing that some steering rack bushing and bump steer bushings could correct for you.

It's a mix of having too tall f a tire and the inset of the wheel. It's not really liner (surprised you have them in). It's rubbing the metal fender tubs at full lock. When I was 17x9 +30 with 225/45 and went to 9 +11 with a 215/45. The slight height change and reduction in offset and inset allowed me my to rub the tub at full lock

It's all about playing around. I'm just to the top of the tire on 18x10.5 +22 with 245/35 and I don't rub anything inside with modified fender liners up top and nothing on the front side.

Hopefully that helps. I was a little lazy to read everything above but I thought I'd share what I know of subject to help

I have nothing constructive to add to this thread but would just like to say that that would be awful.

^ these are my old wheels.. They are BBS RSGT reps..

These SPECIFIC wheels you will almost guaranteed never get your hands on.. There were 30 sets ever made, 15 sets in 18x8 and 15 sets in 18x9 all had +25 offsets.. They are FANTASTIC reps and still look awesome (even though I preferred them my way..

If you wanted reps there's a company called Avant Garde that makes similar reps, but they don't look like these at all in person.. If I could ever find another set I would buy with no hesitation as a backup set.. But I never will

Back when I owned them
