Default Looking for parts and advice (utec/injectors/fuel pump + more)

Hi all.

Im planning out some upgrades for my WRX, and im looking for advice, and used parts . Right now ive got a upgraded turboback and accessport stg2, and i recently acquired a Vf39 and upgraded intercooler. I know im going to need a UTEC (or another higher end ECU upgrade), upgraded fuel pump, and sti injectors. Things i think im going to need: upgraded hoses for intercooler, gutted (or replacement?) uppipe. Am I forgetting anything assuming im running a conservative (no explodie) tune? At what point would i need to look at gauges to make sure things are running okay? I was thinking maybe a Dtec or something i could hide/put away(sounds like a fun project). Any body got parts like this or anything i need to add?

i know i might get some ***** for this, but stick with the cobb, i went from a stage 2 to 2.5. just look for a VF 30 or 34 and some STI pinks and your good to go.

(want to trade your prodrive for RFL ti?)

the vf39 is very similar to the vf34 and wouldnt have any problems running the vf34 cobb map.

Hoses for intercooler? only if the intrercooler you bought needs them. And yes, the up-pipe is a must.

I would add boost & EGT when you do the upgrades, as these can be early trouble signs. Personnally, the DTEC has a nice "cool" factor, but I wouldn't spend that kind of money just for an EGT gauge.

Also, doesn't Cobb not recommend a fuel pump for Stage 2.5?

either way i dont think its been proven to hurt the setup.

my car has a 255 fp and evangelo's doesnt.

both our cars run fine.

i dont think the injectors are being maxed out and the fuel pressure is still static to what the pressure regulator keeps it at. all the larger pump will be doing is sending more fuel back into the gas tank at a higher rate.

once you mess with the fuel pressure or start to really push the injectors, stock is fine.

i think if you wanted a protune, it'd be good to get a fuel pump. but an OTS map, should be gravy with oem

The intercooler he bought once belonged to you, so yeah we'll have to find him some hoses (the blue ones I got from you are on my car).

yeah, its somehow smaller than i thought Im thinking i will make a plaque for it. get a picture of the busted car and do it up all nice. Maybe make a MAIC award?

-Ive got a boost gauge already, so dont need that part. the DTEC was to make a use out of the Gameboy SP i havnt used in a year. For the uppipe, ill probably just look at a full replacement, unless somebody knows where to get a stock one gutted? Ill have a high flow cat to replace that one when i swap out the exhaust again.

i might just be paranoid, but when i was looking at cobb about the maps for the 39, general consensus says not to. is the difference in the turbo that small, anybody running it for any length of time?
