Default Looking to buy in bulk and sell various things - But what to buy?

Hey GC, I am looking to buy and sell stuff on eBay, or really wherever I can and was wondering if anyone does the same thing/has experience in doing so. I'd like to buy some items in bulk and sell them to make a profit, thats the idea.

Any help, sites, info and/or recommendations are greatly welcomed and appreciated!!

You're asking for the goose that lays the golden eggs.

I doubt anyone will give it away for free.

In this economy I highly doubt a manufacturer wouldn't complete an order on something smaller than average, even if it costs a fraction bit more since it is in fact a smaller quantity.

eMail them stating what you plan on doing. Also mention that if this run goes quick you may start getting larger and larger bulks or different products from them.

Well....you can do what everyone else on eBay does.....sell things you never have and just drop ship them from the discount retailer. For example.....list stuff for sale on eBay that anyone could order directly from Harbor Freight themselves....only you mark it up 20% because idiots who still buy stuff on ebay think they are getting a deal and are too clueless to shop around on the net. I estimate 90+% of the items listed on eBay fall into this catagory.

Altrnately you can shop around at your local retailers for closeout specials of discontinued items. Often stores will mark these items way down to get rid of them at a good price. Buy up what they have and list them on eBay for about 10%-15% less than you can find it still for sale anywhere on the net....usually still listed at original retail price.

Another popular option is to buy up broken or old electronics for pennies on the dollar and dissasemble them for spare parts. Laptops are a particularly lucrative area. People get rid of laptops that have minor problems but are too expensive or old to repair with the OEM. Hinges, bezels, cases, and DVD drives are usuaaly good working parts. And otherwise perfectly functioning laptops get cracks or scratches in the cases, or frozen/broken hinges from everyday use. Normally parts from the OEM are prohibitively expensive for cosmetic or nuisance issues. But you can sell the takeout parts you bought or collected for virtually nothing at several times less than those from the OEM and still make a handy profit.

And last....and this is a really popular one.....list current, popular, new in box items for way less than their retail price and then gouge the living hell out of them with a huge shipping fee. Most of the time people will bid up the price of these items to just a bit below retail price....not realizing they'll be paying a ridiculous shipping fee that puts the total cost well over the price they could have paid in any store. But these sheep are too ignorant to figure that out.

Buy a couple hundred Acura NSX's. I'm thinking of buying one, so I could be your first customer. However, I don't do eBay and tend to ban people who talk about eBay.

oh.....woops.

I think I would rather eat a double-barreled shotgun blast than buy a car off of Ebay... And I'm not even suicidal.
