Default EJ22T wierd piece

Doing an egine swap, ej2o to ej22t and am trying to identify this piece. It appears to be possibly a crank case vent. I looked in the repair manual for this engine and it only shows a bolt at this location. I cannot put the coolant passage back because this item is in the way. Can any confirm or deny this piece?

crank case vent. guys have reported on being able to plug it and had not adverse side effects. It should get routed in the pcv system tho, wedge i believe had a nice diagram of it.

That fitting goes into a T which is connected to the two heads.

Thanks for all the input. My diagram wasn't so accurate. I did end up capping that off. The wrx coolant passage wont fit without removing it.
