Dang it man, I didn't get to see either of you guys. I had to leave at 9 for you know what. Jonathan, I hope you at least got my vacated spot LOL.

No problems, but I brought my little lady, and a three and a half year old doesn't last too long at a car show! I'm really sorry I missed you Brandon! Hopefully I'll catch up with you soon.

^Same here. It was a good turnout this morning.
A mix of work and two research essays make for a bad substitute for a cruise with other Subarus

Haha I've worked at Carmax and you won't find any car with 5,000 miles for 5k less than it was new.

Yea I know a lot has changed. I bought my first car at a dealer used and 3 years later traded it to carmax for 1k less than I bought it for after puttinv about 60k miles on it. Carmax also used to sell cars for less than 20k also. I bought a car with 30k miles on it only 2 years old for 6k from carmax in Garland. Now its impossible to find any car that cheap on carmax.

I took some photos today. Sorry I didn't get too many of the Subies, it's hard to get the cars that are packed in so tight as we were.

Yeah he managed to pull out right after the battalion of cops had left to chase other people and right before the "watch commander" rolled up and told everyone they had to stop watching cars leave. It was a bonkers car but he didn't strike me as being very well in control of it.

Jack Wagons (pun intended) like that are going to be the end of Cars and Coffee. Maybe not the end, but at least a major damper. Now the police are telling people not to watch all of the cars roll out? I can't blame them, with fools like that making it dangerous for onlookers. Just a couple of months ago, I was standing ten feet away when that Vette jumped over the curb right where people were allowed to stand months earlier.
I'm not going to pretend that I don't break the law by speeding or taking turns too fast, but I don't crap all over an event like this, where I know the police are keeping a close watch. I'd like to continue coming to this event, but if the police put pressure on the ownership Classic BMW, they might have to drop it. That would suck.
Okay, I'm being a hypocrite, or at least a goody two shoes (whatever that means...), but I like cars and coffee and don't want to see it taken away from me!
Someone hand me a ladder, I need to get off this high horse...

Jump, we'll catch you.

I agree, though. And IMO, there's a huge difference even in the police's eyes between doing a little pull to let people hear your car and what this guy did - he was still (or again) sideways way down by where the guard rail or barrier or whatever for the onramp starts. And in traffic the whole time.
