Been 30 since Dec 2014 and bought my first wrx a couple mos. before i turned 30. Decided to make up loss time from the day i was able to drive, so i bought another subie-beater last month as a daily(both wagons btw). Developed a parts list that includes mostly suspension and drivetrain goodies. Bought everything over a period of 6mos. prepping to install by June. Goal is to make the best handling wrx wagon possible and doing track days and autoX. Power gains down the road AFTER i truly learn my car. No intention to sell either cars for as long as i can remember my own name...

I'm 32 and bought my 15 wrx 5 months ago. It's only my work car but it's so fun me and the wife occasionally put my two girls car seats in it to go somewhere. I don't know why but younger people really seem shocked to see 2 kids in the back seat.

I have posted on this thread before, however I need to update.

- Sold my bugeye WRX last summer due to rust.
- However I recently acquired an 05 WRX wagon with a blown motor
- Project time - will be used for rally-X and nav rallies for now.
- Hope to eventually prep it for Rally Sprints

46. 15 WRX CVT, bone stock now. I have plans to do the "typical" power upgrades, you know, intake, exhaust, TGV deletes, tune. I want to eventually get a turbo that holds boost closer to redline as well. I hate the way the torque curve tapers off. As far as the outside, a few details, badges mostly. I'll be leaving the suspension stock with the exception of a larger rear sway bar. I like the sleeper look, and if I can get 350 HP out of it with the above mentioned mods, it will certainly be one.

I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my 15 WRX premium, all these negative posts about "shoulda bought the STi" have me a little depressed. I could've bought either and chose the WRX. Oh and I'm 31.

33 and just bought my first WRX 2 weeks ago ('15 CVT Premium...wife can't drive stick and wants no part in learning). Still stock for now minus rally armors. Eventually will do TBE, accessport, and sway bars. Came from a mildly modded FR-S I had to sell in a move due to lack of room for a 3rd car (and traded in my '06 2.5i Impreza wagon).

Life is way too short to care what other people think about the car you drive and how it might be perceived. As long as you like it, that's all that matters.

I'm just wondering because this will dictate how I build my car when I pay it off. Im currently 28 and like the racer look, but not sure if it would look cool when im above 30, (ex. too boy racer)

Wy wife bought hers (partly why I married her!!!) when she was 22 and I was 25. I had a 2002 Sentra SE-R SpecV (also a great little car). I sold that one when we started growing up and had to get something big enough to haul two kids in baby seat around--we picked up a Maxda CX-9, the sportiest thing out there at that size. Reality further set in when we had three kids, so we sold the Mazda and picked up a minivan (it feels good when you finally just accept that life has moved you past that point).

I've been driving the WRX steady since I was 30, and now I'm looking to sell it to pick up something bigger, nicer, more comfortable. I'm 37 and find myself having weird dreams about cars like a Legacy or Altima. I guess age does that.

But hey, I'm way past 30 and still driving the WRX, and when I'm not stuck behind a school bus somewhere, I still like to wind it up and let it run!

^ This is why posts should have a like button.

I'm guessing all the young kids stare at your car as you drive by them.

I never realized how invisible I was in my Corolla's all these years. When I first got my '15 WRX a couple months ago, my wife and I (both in our 30's) clearly noticed we were getting all different kinds of attention. I was caught off guard by that honestly. I thought the '15 model would be fairly invisible compared to newer cars today.

My wife, while by herself in it, said it was "like a parade at times. People stopping to let you go in front of them. People driving up next to you almost hitting the car in front of them. Walking up to it and people looking in / at it."

I was thinking about not tinting the windows as I am not a big fan of tinted windows at night, and I feel it probably draws a little more heat from the law. But hiding behind the tint when you are being stared at...I can see the benefits there.

Just got my first subaru this past December (out of my price range till now). Brand new 15 WRX Limited in wrb with a six speed. Love this car, summer wheels should be in next week. Turning 31 this year. Not gonna be able to do too much to it for a while, got a kid on the way, but hey I still got one hell of a "family car". Lol

I'm 30, second WRX; 2012 305 whp stage 2 hatch (got smooshed sitting in traffic on the interstate), only got 60k miles on her. Replaced with 2015, cost me about $2500 after insurance settlement! Bittersweet...

The new car has better manners, goes with my 30's, very happy!
