If you change your wheel/tire combo to a smaller setup, doesn't that affect your speedometer readout. Ie: your speedometer is reading high. This may explain the RAV4...

Rav4 video, STEEP downhill video maybe

Nah JK bro, I think it has to do with the wrxs ability to get out of the hole so quickly -- with most 300whp wrxs it's not hard to get a 4.0sec flat 0-60 or even quicker. I am curious as to why the trap speed is so low, though it could be that the higher gears in the rav4 are reallllly geared towards fuel economy? It also looks in the high 7's, closer to 8s from 50-100mph.

I tell you now, I would be PI$$ED if a Rav4 pulled on me from a roll after going stage 2+ in a WRX... Haha imagine the look on a Camaro SS drivers face even!!

Guess it goes to show how important rotating mass can make a difference. I just weighed my 18x8.75 xxr 527's yesterday and they are 19lbs a piece. Not bad for that size a wheel!

Ah! That makes more sense. According to the online calculators the equivalent 50-100mph readings would be 56-111mph with those wheels/tires.

Makes a LOT more sense haha I eyeball it somewhere in the 9second range according to that speed range, which is correct

Still a good time for a Rav4!!

If you look at his video again from 56-111, the corrected "50 to 100" is around 10ish seconds which will fall inline with his trap speeds.

Still a freaking fast RAV4, haha.

Just saw this thread; needs more GC love! Looking at the logs from my Link G4 (50hz logging rate), I've got 5 seconds for 80-160km (50-100mph):

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2129774

Vehicle: 2000 Impreza STI Version 6 Type R
Motor: Built EJ257 (Cosworth + Manley), Ported 207 AVCS heads, Kelford 272/268 cams, +1mm O/S Supertech valves, Crower springs/retainers, 12mm Leggie oil pump
Transmission: 05' JDM STi 6 speed
Redline: 7500ish
Fuel: 93 pump
Boost: 16.5 psi (logged 1.15 bar)
Upgrades: Link G4 standalone ECU, ATP 35R (stock location), GT Spec equal length header, 100mm FMIC, 80mm ti catback, JDM Spec C intake , ID 1000cc inj, Cusco twin clutch + a bunch of other misc crap
Weight: 2850(?)lbs

I can't wait to get everything swapped over to my US shell and do some high boost runs.

If that is his tire and wheel size, then he is maybe a little faster from 50-100mph than has been calculated. that tire and wheel setup would hit 100mph when his speedometer says 98.3mph. The proper reading would be from about 49.3-98.3mph...as fast as his car is, i think an error of 1-2mph is only going to cost maybe a couple 10ths at the most, but still awesome to be able to say that he could be even faster.

Well I finally got the txs fmic installed, along with a omni 4 bar map sensor and switched from open-source to ap speed density. Went from 370/350 on the dom 3xtr to 415/405. Will edit this post with a new tomorrow. Should be 5 or below, makes the power at 4100 and holds over 400/400 till redline.

Dang I blew my built motor before I could get a real time, and all I could afford to replace it with was a used 2011 shortblock. Needless to say I turned the boost down a bit. I'll still see what it does though.
