you have to get the headers, uppipe, turbo and downpipe for it to work. new these items are going to be very expensive, i saw a complete set up like this on the engine/power for sale thread for about 1300 if i remember right. also if you have a wrx you need sti oil pan because of the headers.

it would be a pretty sweet set up though.

Yeah, I was reading up on some of the Rally America cars, like what Pastrana drives and he has an IHI twinscroll with Anti-lag system on it. I was reading that with ALS it'll destroy turbos, but with the IHI turbos they rarely break. for some reason or another it works well with these. It'd be way sweet to get the ALS on my car haha

I guess your asking about a vf-36 or vf-37? I might be able to get you the parts but its going to be expensive since you need more that just a turbo. You will have to deal with the headers which would be JDM parts.

Yeah, it'll be a little bit before I buy them, I'm just wondering at what I'm looking at for savings goal or whatever. Do they have IHI kits? looks like these are all rotated GT kits. I don't want to go too massive, I want to stay within Rally America specs.

We can do anything you want, I will just need to dig in and do a little research. The vf-36,37,38 are the only twin scroll IHI turbos that I know of.

Do you have amy more specifics or links to exactly what your trying to do? I have a connection in Japan that can get parts for me if we know exactly what we need.

Pretty much my end-state goal for the car is to be able to race her in Rally America in the same class as Pastrana and Block. In the stuff I've seen, which has never been too specific, it's been the twin scroll IHI turbo(no name put for turbo) with the different accompanying parts, headers, exhausted(Which from what I understand has cats?), etc.. I want to start putting together a pricing plan so I can formulate when in the future I'll be able to do all that stuff.

I've been looking into transmissions and KAPS sells the 5spd DOG-box for around $7,500 w/o shipping, so I'm thinking for now I'm just gonna stick to rebuilding the RA tranny I picked up.

To go along with the turbo I would be looking for a new ECU that is capable of running ALS, MoTech makes Subaru's rally team, but I looked at their site and wasn't quite sure the prices or even which ECU is used. I know this is gonna be an expensive endeavor, I'm just looking into it for the future.

Well you have a lot of options to reach your goals. ALS systems can be added on as piggy backs and even tuned into the stock ECU with some hacking. You of course have the option of a fully stand alone system as well.

Since this is such a specilized project I think it would beneficial to meet face to face and go over all the ideas. Let me know when you get some time and we can talk. I'm sure we can help you and I have many connections throughout the world for parts and advisors now.

Did you guys know we can tune other cars besides Subarus?

We can do Audi, VW, Porsche, BMW, MINI, Honda, Mitsu, Mazda. We also have the custom tools to work on the Euro cars including the custom diags tools that the dealers use.
