Precisely. On top of that the interior materials scream dieselgate cost cutting galore. The MK7 was a great deal at 5K off MSRP. The MK8 is a step in the wrong direction.

Mk7 was NEVER 5K OFF MSRP. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? You are a lying deceitful person. You literally said that to justify in your brain the current WRX discounts.

I stand corrected. I just checked and there was a time they were 7-8K off. I was offered a ‘19 at 5,500 discount before any negotiations. The AB models were even discounted more.

The WRX has gotten a lot of hate for the prolapsed butthole rear…but cmon.. we not gonna talk about the GR’s? Looks like a nerd with the biggest underbite in the world.

I’m not gonna entertain a fraud like you. MK7 discounts are well documented. There is what people are paying thread on VW forums. You can research it yourself. 5-6K of MSRP discounts were very common across multiple model years. AB trims saw discounts as high as 8k. You are a liar and a fraud.

You’ve never even owned a Subaru before all you have is car forums to talk on. Post proof of the discounts you got offered or any at all. You should delete your account I don’t know how you keep coming back where nobody wants to hear a single world you say

After dieselgate there were indeed massive discounts on VWs, GTIs included. They also came with long warranties. The long running thread on VW Vortex has some posts with numbers people were paying back in the day.

WTF this has to do with WRXs in 2023, I have no clue.

Personally I like the new WRX save for the rear end and the reports of mushy brakes.

I dont think those guys care about the rear. Have you seen that huge wing and the step for rear diffuser!?

Also (real) racecar.

But, part of the reason for the design was aero.

Now, I'm mostly joking here because I know it could get changed based on all of the different aero changes they put to it would require a change in the bumper.. Like you mentioned the rear diffuser. "(real) racecar" aero likely dictates differences.

This thing looks amazing . What a badass platform the VB WRX is. The wide body fenders and quarter panels look so aggressive and the cladding adds so much character without going overboard or plain vanilla like the competition. They nailed it.
