Default CV Axle for 03 Forester?

Boot ripped on my wife's Forester and it's slinging grease everywhere. Front right outer boot. What are some reman or new aftermarket axles that aren't garbage? Also I don't have to drain the tranny fluid right? It's an automatic. It's been years since I replaced an axle and I don't remember.

I usually use RockAuto, typically use SureTrac. Have not had an issue yet, cheaper than OEM.
I believe these are are all "new" axles, not remans.

For an AT, trans fluid is separate from front diff fluid. Help yourself, only jack up that side to limit any fluid loss. Get wheel off, loosen/remove other bits, THEN pull axle from trans and bang in the new one.
Reassemble.
Done deal.

Ok. Do I need to pull the strut bolts or can I get the axle out another way?
