Default Updated pics of my 2.5: V5 Wing, Red/clear tails & Painted Side Skirts

Got my wing and sideskirts painted and installed today so I figured it was time to update the pics. The paint and isntall was 250, so not too bad. He did a great job too. Also in these pics are the clear side markers and clear corners. Still trying to find clear blinkers. Also put on my rear sway bar yesterday. Anyway, here the pics!

Kostamojen - 225s

Scooby Blue - I got a great deal on the car leaving me with some mod money right away Ill have a ton more pics after this weekend when i get the rest of my stuff put on.

I actually havent seen what the ver5 grille looks like. Ill have to go investigate that. I will need rear spats to even things out, espially if i get a new front lip. That wont happen till after the Turbo.

And I am goign turbo a lot sooner than i thought which means the cobb intake will only be on a few weaks before i have to sell it.

She'll be all set for the first Syracuse meet. I am getting a used turbo kit from NickSTi. Its a t3/t4 intercooled. Ill be running low boost for now, until i can dyno tune it. Speaking of which, is there an AWD dyno near syracuse?

Car looks good man!

Do you have any suspension mods to your car? Since you are running 225/45/17 (I assume), any drop might rub?

The clear lights looks good on the silver

Damn you move quick! Here's a pic of the Ver. 5/6 grill, it makes a big difference, but it's subtle at the same time. Sorry about the size of the pic.

Time to go find me a v5 grille =)

And 225s should fit fine with 17s. Tire rack said thats the proper size, as did people on here. Right now i just have an 18mm rear sway bar. Ill be doing konis and ground controls later this summer. I wont drop more than 2inches... probably more liek 1.75 so it shouldnt rub too bad.

Where do you get the silver colored thing that goes under the blinker? Or do you just paint that? If so can i use spray paint or something? I wish I would have had that done when i had the spoiler and sideskirts painted but i didnt think of it.

yes, it's the proper size for a WRX, not an RS. when i ordered 215/45/17's from tire rack for my MY01 RS, they told me it would probably rub. are you sure you told them you have an *older* RS, not the MY02-up one?

with 225's it will most certainly rub, maybe even at stock height (but not at stock height with the ground controls). and i presume you're buying the koni inserts... will those fit the GC8 RS strut bodies? (the WRX assemblies are longer.)

if you search the wheel + tire forum in about 5 minutes you'll find what tires work on the older cars, and possibly at what heights.

personally, if i was putting 17's on the car and planning to lower it 1.75", i'd go with 205/45/17.

I think you should consider shaving ovv the subaru and 2.5rs badges. I think that really makes the trunk look sweet

well, if you haven't mounted the tires yet, then it's not too late too send them back.

honestly i'm surprised that the tire rack sold you that size...

No way, you should able to fit 215s no problem. They might rub a bit, but I doubt anything significant. I would think if you had some 50mm+ offset rims you could fit a 225 under there and if you roll the fenders it shouldn't rub. As it is running a 225 on the Rotas might be ok if you roll the fenders.

Hah, I rubbed the Sumitomo right off my tire with CuscoZero2R's with 215/45/17's on Rota Tarmacs, and even my 215/40/17 Kuhmos on OZ Superleggeras rub a bit. This is with no wheel gap, but both sets of wheels are 48mm offset.
