Default 1999 ECU harness?

I have looked on diagrams for the 99' impreza dash harness. And it shows the ECU connector as having the later phase-2 style with the 3 plugs. Just today i saw a 99' ecu that used the older one plug style with the little switch release thing. Are the 5spd ECU's different? I just had a harness shipped to me and now im not sure if it is going to fit my ECU. My ECU is from an 01' RS Auto and i need to make sure that the dash harness i am getting will plug into it. The harness i bought is from a 1999 2.5L Legacy Outback with a Auto tranny, production date 12/98. Is there anybody that can possible tell me if the connector/pin arrangement is the same? I can switch pins around if i need to but it needs to plug into my ECU. I might be able to cancel the order if i find out quick enough.
