I need to sell the civic and buy this. I doubt it will be around by the time I get the civic fixed and sold though.

I'm going to get it inspected tomorrow. Hopefully nothing else is wrong with it. If anyone is seriously interested, shoot me a text and we might be able to work something out. 0170-284-1022, name is Tim btw.

Any word on if it passed inspection? Still interested since hubby will need a better car in the winter.

I thought you were Scott lol I messages him but yes I did get it inspected on Monday. Needs an exhaust gasket "leaking", oil pan "engine leaking" and clutch. I'm going to try to buff out the oxidation on the headlight "blind" and lower the beam on that side "adj". I would buy/install the pan and clutch but I leave in a month so I can't count on parts getting here quick then have the time to install them. I am willing to work deals though. One of the guys that works at the shop on post has a trailer but I need to talk to registration to see how it would work ie unregister from my name on a Friday and deliver on Saturday etc I think both parties have to be sitting down at vehicle registration together though :/ I might have to tell my unit I have an appt that will take all day or something...kind of is, right?

Yeah to sell a car it has to pass inspection before the sale can be made. I ran into this problem trying to buy a car when I got here.

It doesn't have to pass. You can sell a car in non-op status, but it has to be approved through your command. You leave in a month huh? I'm trying to see if we can pull the money together soon to buy it. And ya, I sent you Scott's number when I initially talked to you lol.. (: It's for him, I already have a Subie.

I'll just tell registration I don't have enough time to get everything fixed in time and that I'm waiting on parts. Once they transfer it back to non op then I'll sell I'm just not clear on how the transfer of title goes. The easiest solution would be to trailer the car to wherever, receive payment, sign a Bill of Sale, then both the buyer and myself go straight to registration so they can take it off my account and onto the buyers. It's just going to have to take some planning. I would also need a 150% guarantee that the buyer is in fact buying since I'd be asking a HUGE favor to borrow the vehicle, trailer and my buddy's time. 3 weeks people is all I have until the wife is going to be VERY upset lol I will NOT junk this car.
