![]() I have worn through the bolster on the stock seat in my 05 RS. SoA claims it's not their problem and the stealership wants $609 to replace the seat. It's time to explore aftermarket options! I am a BIG guy. I'm 6'1" but only have a 30" inseam, so it's all in my torso (meaning I almost hit the ceiling in the stock seats). I weigh 280lbs and have a 40" waist. Like I said, I'm a BIG guy and the stock seats were kinda tight in the hips. What are my options for aftermarket seats that are wider in the hips/thigh than the stockers and will cost less (tax, title, and out the door) than $609? All the aftermarket seats I've seen so far seem to be targeted at skinny-assed boy racers.
I'll be using the seats 80% for in town commuting, 10% for hauling ass through the twisties, 5% for long trips (to get to the twisties), and 5% for autocross. Someone out there has got to have a save! Ty

![]() We test drove a 06 TR when the fiancee was looking for a new car. The seat was still tight in the hips/thigh and those headrests on the 06s are MURDER!
Crazy that we that close in size though. |

![]() sparco evo 2000's maybe?
you really should do some measuring and try to find a seat that really suits you www.sparcousa.com go to seats, read a bit about measuring. if you get the chance, try to sit in ... before you buy. best of luck to you Jamie ![]() Last edited by Subie Gal; 10-12-2006 at 02:11 AM. |

![]() MOMO STREET RACER SEATS ARE AWESOME!!!!
here: http://www.momousa.com/products.php?subcat=24&group=50 I am 6'0, 280lbs (CHUNKY!) I wear a size 42 pants, and a 52inch chest.... These are universally the most comfortable seats I have ever sat in and I have people set in them who are 130 lbs and they say the same thing!!! I can't even hardly ride in a mitsu Evo because the seats are too small for me and I get sick because the side bolsters squeeze my kidneys too much!!! GOOD LUCK!!! RYNO |

![]() Brining this thread back from the dead. Are there any new options for us big boys out there? So far I found SPARCO EVO XL to have 475mm width which should be enough. And the Corbeau EVOLUTION X looks wide enough but did. Any other options. Any reclining options?
Also anyone know if there is a showroom/shop of different seats somewhere near Philly, so I can maybe sit in a few and see how they fit? Thanks Last edited by BlackFighter; 01-26-2021 at 12:22 PM. |

![]() Recaro XL and Racetech wide-tall shells fit me well. No other brand shell has shoulder strap holes high enough to work with my torso height. VAC motorsports is a dealer they have seats/cars you can sit in.
