Thanks Duster. Very beautiful car. I'll be interesting to know what finally solves your brake vibration issue. I had a JB4 on my 335i and still have the JB1 on my Golf and always have enjoyed the extra power with them seeming to live up to their claims.

It's significantly better than it was! As in it takes a lot to make it vibrate now. But for the weight of the car and the size of the brakes, it should be better. I do think I will buy the G Loc street pads to run more often, as these are still dusting quite significantly even after the bedding is over. Also hopefully the new rotors come early next month. DBAs have been awesome on anything I have owned.

New Boost Solenoid for the Fiesta. It's made of brittle black plastic and bolted directly to the turbo housing, so of course when swapping out the wastegate I snapped the ~2mm plastic nipple on top.

Fortunately I was a half mile down the road from a dealership who had one in stock.

For $186.

Never tried Costco booze so I thought I'd give this a shot, I usually prefer Ketel One. Not sure what it costs in the US but its $50 CDN here for this giant bottle.

Our Costco finally opened their liquor sales area, but Alabama liquor laws suck. It's not any cheaper in Costco than regular liquor stores.

don't they say that the kirkland vodka is really just grey goose, but then somehow the kirkland gets better reviews? I've heard something like that.

edit: some places say no, one source says its the same water and the same actual people make it, but it's not relabeled grey goose.. idk

I read the same thing. It seems to get good reviews in blind taste tests. I'm not a booze snob but there are definitely some that I don't like such as Absolut. Maybe I'll pick up a few different ones tomorrow and do a taste test Friday night.

I don't think that's the "one." That bottle was frosted too IIRC.

Costco may just be ahead of the "marketing" game. Its made in the same place and is generic Knob Creek!

I think it often falls in the same category as EV Olive Oil in blind task tests, where the results are often dismally embarrassing.

Bunch of experts in the industry do a blind taste test and not only prefer the cheaper stuff, but go further by saying how awful the other stuff is in comparison only to later learn it was the expensive premium stuff they said they hated.

In one guy's case, he blind tasted and ranked his *own brand* dead last as "horrible garbage"!

finally bought a mid pipe for my 99 outback **it beater...i don't really use it or drive it much, it's a backup vehicle but if it's going to sit there it should be usable on demand...

Costco vodka gets a thumbs up from my Soviet heritage family, though personally the XO cognac is their best alcohol IMO.

Kirkland Vodka is pretty decent for the price. Certainly on par with mid range Vodka's like Tito's, Smirnoff, Stoli, etc for less $.

I don't know why they need to put it in such a tall F'n bottle tho. Doesn't fit in my current liquor cabinet with the rest of my juice and it's not quality enough to leave out on display.. Their Rum bottle is a horrible design for pouring as well.

Yes, the bottle is too freaking big for sure. Went and bought a few others today. Wanted to buy a few more but my wife was with me and was not too impressed.

I may sneak out tomorrow and pick up a couple more. Taste test Friday night.

Also bought a Apple watches today through my RBC Visa rewards points. They are 15% off until tonight for the series 6 and 25% off on the older ones. I've not seen them with that much of a discount anywhere else. I got the silver 44mm cellular and she got the same but 40mm, both the series 6. I have giant hands (4-5xl gloves) and wrists so I'll need to get a custom strap made or find a really long NATO strap.
