Default STi Leather Seats Stitching Issues

Hi everyone,

We noticed today on one of our cars (WRX STi) that the stitching on the seats specifically where we sit has a couple stitches that look like they are pulled out about 1cm or so. The car is under 7k miles so obviously still in bumper to bumper warranty. Is this something that will progress into more problems and should we bother raising a stink about it?

Opinions would be great, thank you!

It can't hurt to speak with the dealer and see what they are willing to do. If they want to just replace the seat cover (most likely) I personally wouldnt bother, the new seat cover may not look right as there are sometimes weird fitment issues. However if they are willing to replace the entire seat then go for it!

We had the same problem with our '18 STI, dealer replaced the seat cover in question without issue. They did a great job replacing it and you cannot even tell its not original.

I took mine into the dealer for this two weeks ago. Car had 2800 miles on it. They changed it, no questions asked.

I just got mine changed, non sti seat cover. Stitches will more likely to come out again.

After reading this this looks like a chronic seat problem
