Default Is this Rice?

So I dont like the stock 2003 wrx wing, so I'm looking to upgrade. An STI wing would be ideal, but they run around 300$ unpainted. I personally like the look of ebay big wings, and if I were to get a carbon fiber one, I wouldn't even need to pay for a paint job. So, it seems liek a ricer thing to do, is it?

I saved for the APR GTC200 airfoil. I was concerned the cheaper ebay wings wouldn't hold up well to the sun/UV and wind. They also probably weren't designed in a wind tunnel like APR. It reaches to 114 degrees here and we also get some crazy wind storms. Mine is 60.5" wide and frames the car nicely.

Any wing that big for a normal daily-driven car is rice, IMO. It's all your personal preference, though. A painted STI wing would probably be the only bigger wing that would look decent if you have to have a big wing.

Meh. I'd stay stock. Imo that wing looks unnecessary and cheap.

I find it a little cheesy, but if you like it go ahead. Hopefully it aligns with the overall look you're going for. I keep a running list of things I want to pick up and then prioritize based on 'most bang for my buck' whether it's for show or go.

It's all personal preference, but personally, I think the OEM spoiler on the 2003 WRX looks really good, and that most aftermarket choices would be a downgrade.

The STI wing on it looks pretty good.

But I dig the sleekness of the WRX spoiler and how clean it makes the car look. When they came here in 2002 I really liked the look and to this day I still do, so I am biased.

Your car canít pull that look off how it currently sits. Save the $184 and put it towards suspension upgrades.
