Default Air Care Emissions Woes

2015 WRX and so I went into Air Care for an OBD test. They told me my software was "out of spec" and to come back and set up an appointment. Show up at the appointment and he listed out everything on my car that was aftermarket and told me it needed to be set back to factory in order to pass. Mind you I passed all the OBD tests(all Ready, no CEL), and the test doesn't state that the software has to match a known version in their system. Is this what's happening in Colorado now? like why even mod anymore?

This is slowly but surely happening in all states and the point is to make it so you don't modify your car.

That's some BS. You shouldn't have to take all of your parts off, just flash back to stock if you're running some kind of tune.

I'm curious to know what aftermarket parts are on his car.

recently they started to check for tunes on newer cars,
If you are using an accessport you should be able to flash to stage 1 ots which has a c.a.r.b EO# and therefore should be ok, or flash back to stock and try again

however if you have any deletes this will not work
