I love the long writeups. I saw you post on Facebook and thought to myself “I can’t wait for the long NASIOC update”

Love the idea of where you decided to run the meth.. I would have thought that is a bit too close? Love it man! wish fredrik had not sold his!! not many Sti swapped built fa20 machines out n about.. I moved to a zero corn area with 91.. I feel cali pain now, yet I will like the less snow part! PNW is where I moved to. BTW been running with MapDCCD with advanced VSS for 7k now (at least) lovin it, had to relearn how to corner as it just puts it down and grips on RE71R's.. I like how sleeper your car is with matte black! any #'s on performance yet?

I gathered 10+ people locally and secured a dyno. Mikey Botti is flying here near the end of October. I'll probably be around 450-500whp. Don't really want much more or the car becomes unbalanced and just becomes a straight line deal. The purpose of this build was an all-arounder and something I could learn new DIY skills on...I've definitely increased my skill set! The wiring was the hardest part cause I installed so many things at once. I was dealing with some issues with my gear indicator and come to, all my wiring was good, it was the Plug N Play harness from iWireServices...they had a "small batch" of connectors that had the pins reversed... LOL....was chasing the problem for a couple days and went through ALL my wiring...then got that e-mail back from them. Of course it's the one part of wiring I didn't do and trusted the #1 Subaru wiring site for. They owe me a beer. Last edited by immortal; 09-21-2018 at 04:02 AM. |

i did a custom bead maker tool out of wire crimps dremeled a bit. put a bead on the pipe i had to custom fit to my turbo. i saw 29.9 psi today in 4th gear, this turbo is a little bit laggier than the 7064 i had, but holy **** it pack's it's real punch in 3rd/4th/5th. the thing just comes alive at the upper range like the other one didn't. come take a spin frederik.

thanks, it's my favorite part of the build.
1500 miles on the new engine now... man it's lots of fun with this boost. i still have thoughts about putting the 7064 back on and getting some of the spool back, but i don't know if i can give up the way it pulls past 5k. pretty sure i have all of the mechanical gremlins dialed out underneath the hood. i have all sorts of tiny adjustments with rubber spacers/zip ties/foam, etc. to get clearances and prevent metal to metal contact. custom build requires this kind of attention. i have my new vinyl roll in (matte nardo grey), but just have been pretty lazy to get started. well, rather, just taking a break and enjoying the car for a bit before changing things up. |

@immortal First and foremost I love your build, it’s everything my onyx and gold 16 wrx aspires to be. I’m curious about your suspension. I’m pretty much going to do all the same mods. I have full Voodoo13 rear end like you aswell as FA500 with 11k swift front and rear. I was curious how your car handles. I’ve been anxious about the install thinking that 11k might be to stiff for the street. How do you drive your car? daily? Canyons? Track? What kind of rebound settings do you usually use? Sorry if I’m asking a lot but I appreciate your time.

Forgot about this thread...forum...life happens, jeez.
I've done a lot to my car....inside and out. Running ~34psi now, hurting a lot of feelings, lol. Put some new things on, took some things off... got a lot of original ideas still for my build. Busy at the moment helping others with their project cars in my garage at the moment so my car's on the back burner for the next couple of months. Anyways, I'll try to find time to do more D.I.Y. type posts, until then here are some photos. Edit: **** even my engine bay pic is outdated... i have radium catch cans now. i think i have to add an AOS on top of the catch cans though. my engine is nuts. My car handles insane, but the mapdccd unit and STI swap have a lot to do with that. |

I am trying out some new stuff.
I ordered a Full Blown Intake Manifold for BRZ.....and ordered a Grams Performance 72mm throttle body for BRZ also... I also ordered direct port nitrous setup, lol. I'm going to try and use the port injection spots on the Full Blown manifold for the nitrous. yolo. |

Thanks... I've purchased some more parts for the rebuild as well... I'm trying to sell my Sparco R600 seats and get the Sparco QRT-C to drop some weight.
I want to run a 9 second 1/4 mile. So far my Phase3 YOLO build changes: Outfront Motorsports closed deck rebuild EFR8474 Black Series T3 single scroll .83ar IQ Performance manifold /w Tial MV-S 38mm EWG Full Blown BRZ intake manifold + 2.5" Titanium charge tube Grams Performance 72mm throttle body Turbosmart OPR-40 oil pressure regulator Turbosmart eBoost2 boost controller Kozmic Port Injection /w ID 1050X injectors Radium dual hanger + Twin Walbro GSS342 Nostrum HPFP Nitrous Express BRZ throttle body dual-injection plate + 15lb bottle + purge + heater + remote opener + maximizer 5 controller DriveShaftShop Level 5 Axles front & rear Grimmspeed FMIC Black Core + Black Piping + Crash Bar Amuse R1 Titan Souen exhaust Full Race Turbo Speed Sensor & Gauge Omni 4 Bar MAP sensor Yokohama Advan AD052 255/40/18 tires K&N RG-1001BL Filter + 4" Titanium tubing for my intake which will have a custom headlight duct. I was toying around the idea of EG33 build with twin turbos....mocked up some headlight ducts that drop right in over the OEM piece. I'll just use the passenger side only and route the intake right up to it. new rubber 255/40 vs 255/35 height difference: 7670 vs 8474 ... oh shiet I hit up Kozmic to set me up with an entire fueling package good for up to 800whp. also, i guess i forgot to mention in this down time... i learned how to 3d print FDM (pla, petg, tpu, nylon, polycarbonate, cf infused, gf infused, etc.) & full 3d resin printing and also learned how to do 3D Cad modeling with Fusion 360. one of the things i made was an infinity third brake light. i started selling them to others, highly customizable https://infinitize.design some examples: Last edited by immortal; 05-02-2021 at 11:40 PM. |
