Why not...I think my racks, while functional, are also aesthetically pleasing on the wagon. Here's mine with my brand new rollers on too...(sorry, I'm still pretty excited)

looks good. I like the piggy (I have one too, but hidden). What fairing is that, and it there a reason you didn't use the stock racks to attache the THULEs to?

I just put my new racks together last night and they have a new fairing now that is a lot different than my old one. Not sure if I like it and it's "wings" yet...

How wide are those? They actually look wider than you "need" but you definately need wider than stock anyway.

I just got 50"s and I'm thinking I should have gotten 58"s. I need to be able to carry surfboards (~24"s wide) and a ski box at the same time. I've been looking at new boxes and THULE has 2 that are 21", 21.2" and 25" so it will be very close, but I think I might be able to squeeze everything onto the 50"s.

I didn't like the way the new fairing sat between the crossbars like that. And for what I use my racks for the wider fairing, which only attached to this front crossbar/tower setup was the one for me. I decided to use the factory rails to mount the rear bar and it has worked out perfectly. I have more range in the space I can achieve between the front and rear bars because the rear bar can now slide the entire length of the OEM rails. I like it...

P.S. mine are yakima, not thule. And I agree with you that the Thule fairings are weird looking.

I got mine from www.rackattack.com for $325 with 8 locks shipped, but no "attachments". As for the install it took me 45 minutes starting from opening boxes to being done. It's a PITA to measure out how much space between the towers and where it goes on the car, but do it otherwise it won't be straight.

Also if you can get someone to help you it's a lot easier if someone tightens the towers on each side at the same time, otherwise you need to go back and forth to keep them straight. If you just tighten one side all the way and then the other, the tower will slide on the crossbar and the roof so you end up with different length "stubs" on each side and the feet in slightly different places. Ask me how I know.

This place has some of the best everyday prices on racks. I have purchased from them 3 times in the past and they ship very fast at least to the east coast.
