Hello,
I would like to upgrade my lights as well... Is this the list of all the exterior lights on a 2015 Premium? Front: Daytime Running Light C-Bulb Light Low/High Beams Fog Lights Turn-Signal Lights Rear: How many lights are in the rear lights? lol? What are the bulbs for all of these?? 9. LED Headlight and Fog light kit - http://www.ck-hid.com/ I cannot tell by that link which one specifically is the headlights and how many of these can I use? http://www.amazon.com/Philips-129666000KX2-XtremeVision-Interior-Exterior/dp/B009NOZ4RI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1399926733&sr=8-1&keywords=phillips+T10 The Phillips T10 6000k is that the right one for replacing 168 and 194 bulbs? Which lights will these fit in? |

Hey Steve - lots of question that searching the forum would help you answer.
This is a build thread to document progress with this specific car, not general bulb and application questions. Low-Beam: H11 High-Beams: 9005 (HB3) DRL (non-Limited housings) = High-Beam @ half voltage (same 9005/HB3 bulb) C-(Position) Light = 194/168 T10 bulbs (get something that fires sideways all-around, or at least 360, not just forward-facing/firing Turn Signals: 7400 (all around, front and back) Reverse Bulb: 921 T15 Fogs: Subaru 'H16' (H11/H9 fit better, unless LED) For the LEDs from ck-hid, you'd want 1x9005 (high-beams), 2xH11 (fogs/low-beams) Ask for or pick the 6500K color temp. Guys- for any generic questions - just PM me or Bellipotens Last edited by Perscitus; 05-12-2014 at 09:58 PM. |

It is great. I am very happy with my decision. Best solution for a city like NY, my wife can drive it as well and I still have a WRX! Getting better each day I drive it. I have become a fan of S# mode with paddle shifters. Most of the time I stay in S though. Rarely in I mode.

These look, IMO, BETTER than the limited lights. Once someone puts that acrylic rode in the C LED and turns them into DRL it will be complete.
Hell...honestly it's pretty much complete already. |

Thanks! Yes, we tried to get the rod in there when the lights were apart for painting.
Royal PITA. Needed a very thin rod and there was almost no place to drill entry/exit holes for the cables. Lightwerkz suggested we pass. These bulbs are very bright, beam pattern looks great and has nice multi-color gradients on the ground ahead of the car. No sharp cutoff like HID but plenty plenty bright. I'd argue they are are bright as a full proper HID conversion! Will have some pics of throw and from the fender/bumper looking on too. |

Have you found any moisture build up in your fog light housing? I did this to mine, with a kit from ck-hid and I found some after a 30min drive at night

Can you post a link to that exact headlight bulbs you ordered, I'm not sure if the ones I found on ck-hid are the correct versions, thx!

Hey Ultimateone. They're site (and Alibaba, AliExpress offers) is confusing, because they list the same exact bulbs (down to type and socket) in five different ways, including different Wattage and lumens, etc.
I asked why and got a equally #@&* explanation. Best thing is to contact Chris (chris 'at' ck-hid 'dot' com), mention Lightwerkz sent you and ask her for this: 2x H11 CREE CXA 1512 Reflector Type LED Kit @ 6500K 1x 9005/HB3 CREE CXA 1512 Reflector Type LED Kit @ 6500K Total should run you no more than $180/200 including ($30-40 for shipping) for all three. This will cover your high-beam, low-beam and fogs. And to me, its a no brainer as quality halogens cost the same. We confirmed the H16 EU socket they offer is no good. Like regular bulbs it doesn't fit the projector lows or fog housings. And unlike regular bulbs, where the socket is plastic and can be trimmed - these have a metal socket (grinding it won't be fun). Don't worry about lumen count. In reality its about 2400lm. What they list as 4400lm, 3600lm is marketing BS. The same bulbs can also be had in 4300K (yellow/green) or 5000K (warm white, looks a bit like warm white Philips home LED bulbs) To us, this recently released (and potentially not even listed yet) 6500K temperature looked the best. It has almost NO hint of blue and yet looks nicer than the 5000K white. Hope this helps. |
