I've never paid more than $4 for rings, shipped. Usually get them from ebay, and usually from aspiremotoring. These were the ones I bought for my wheels, although the price is a bit higher right now for some reason. https://www.ebay.com/itm/4-Hub-Centr...cAAOSwIFtaEPBP |

Hey guys so I’m thinking about ordering the Av-20 18x9.5 et38. Will the stock 245/40 fit on them?

One of the guys in my local club did it (and subsequently regretted it), so yes, it is possible, but it looks terrible so don't do it. If you want to keep the stock tires, get the 8.5s, it looks great and everything fits.

Mine cost $3.98 on ebay from Aspire Motoring, they're excellent quality. |

Lugs
I’m purchasing some Av32’s, what lugs seem to work best with these wheels?

Nice looking wheels! I am about to purchase a set but I cant freaking decide whether to go 17x8 or 18x8.5 . I like the meaty tire look so I am leaning towards 17x8 on some 245/40s. I really wanted to go for 255/40 on a 17x8 but I've heard that this isnt ideal. I am not super informed when it comes to wheel specs but I am slowly learning. If i went with the 18X8.5 i would def go for 255s but i just dont want to deal with endless rubbing issues. Anyone that could give me some advice/pointers would be greatly appreciated. I have a 2004 WRX on stock struts and epic engineering springs .

I am looking to get a set of the Avid AV20's 18x9.5 35 offset for my 18' STI. I see them mounted on previous year STI's but am trying to get an answer as to if they will fit/clear the new brembo's on the 18'. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Stock suspension, and planning on running 245/40 to keep the same tire diameter. I was told by the dealership that changing the diameter of the tire could lead to issues with the transmission down the road and will void the warranty....something I wasn't aware of. I'm a newb to wheels, just learned the hard way that AV32s will not clear the STI Brembos. I got the correct bolt pattern and size and everything but the wheel design won't clear and I'm iffy on using spacers.
I had to buy tires sooner than expected and couldn't get wheels at the same time, so I need to reuse my stock 18x8.5 tires I just got a few months ago. So, for a 2013 STI, will the AV06, AV20, or AV27s clear the Brembos in a 18x8.5? Couldn't find that exact spec throughout the whole 11 pages so just wanted to check. Thanks! |
