Mike's dyno crushed my soul
320hp/290tq For a comparison, full bolt on STI/FA20 with ethanol makes around 280hp he said. Still...gotta find a way to make more ponies. I edited thread title to remove hp claim even though I hit 400 elsewhere... but the chart is smooth, i got a good flat curve til typical 6k fall off... numbers are just numbers. Here is the dyno chart from the Turn in Concepts DynoDynamics - 400hp/350tq: Here is the dyno chart from GST Motorsports Mustang - 320hp/290tq: Last edited by immortal; 08-30-2016 at 08:03 PM. |

Here is the video of the 320hp/292tq run (3rd run, which peaked most power)...you can hear some ignition break up near the end of the run.
it didn't do this on the first run, but it did it on the 2nd and 3rd. it held power a little longer on the first run as well. doesn't do this on the street, i do have some other tuning issues though i am trying to resolve with fuel pressure and hanging turns hard. How was the sound quality from switching out head units. I have hk package now and it sounds good but there is a scratch on the screen. I was thinking of just replacing it with the nex4000 like you.

Not as much difference as the OEM to aftermarket head unit on stock package...but still quite a bit of difference to be honest, definitely worth it if you are not satisfied with the OEM head unit which I didn't like. This is the video I first saw that was like holy ****, I'm changing my head unit now!! |

Here are all the parts you will want in addition to the Pioneer unit: Wiring Kit - if you can get ae64.com to respond, that will be the easiest route for a harness just explain your whole setup. If he doesn't respond, you can make your own harness with the Metra 70-8902 and I think I may have used some wires or parts of the Metra 70-1761 kit. Metra 95-8202 Dash Kit - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000K52CY2 The Nav model A/C console is different than the Non-Nav model. The difference is in the corner of the head unit. The Nav model has much more radius to it than the Non-Nav model, so if you buy the Metra 95-8905 that everyone else says to get, you will have issues. Metra Axxess ASWC-1 - https://www.amazon.com/Axxess-ASWC-1.../dp/B00B4PJC9K The directions on Metra's web site are wrong for the Nav HK model pin locations, both versions they have available. I've e-mailed them about this, but they haven't changed it. I still help people when I see them posting for help on the Facebook WRX group. The correct pin connections you want to make are: Listed as AWSC to 28pin (car): pin 5 to pin 21 pin 11 to pin 22 pin 2 to pin 23 Metra AX-TOYUSB - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EAYYQDO This is to hook up the USB in the console. You can hook up the auxiliary with another adapter, but I didn't bother since I won't ever use it because I would either be connected through Apple CarPlay or Bluetooth Audio. MicroBypass for Pioneer - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J53IW7G Metra 40-LX11 Antennae Adapter to keep FM: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003VYWSES If you want to maintain the Sirius XM shark antenne, you need to buy a Sirius XM SXV200v1 kit - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007T0NM2M You then need to take the pink plastic connector off of the factory XM wire so it is just the metal head exposed, and plug it into the XM unit. You don't need to use the antennae with the kit so it can be discarded. Here is a pin out diagram for our car: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...28&postcount=9 Pretty sure that covers it, I've done more research on this than anyone probably...I had a 2015 non-nav before that I had upgraded everything. Then when I got the 2015 nav I discovered everything (wiring, dash kit, etc.) was different so it took a lot of effort to get it sorted. The 2016 model non-nav is different than the 2015 model non-nav too...everything is different for everything, Subaru so damn complicated. Hopefully this post can help save one or two others from headaches. |

I updated the front page post... updated the mods list...added some detailing info/shots, some pics from the BAM 2016 meet, interior shot with my new seats, tried to get a shot of my DRL setup.

Updated the front page again...I picked up a Velox rear diffuser + changed up to some JDM aero splash guards instead of the OEM spats. I replaced my front lip after crunching the OEM into pieces. Also, I took off the rain guards. I never liked them at first, then I wanted to try them and I liked them a bit, but now I wanted to take them off and they will probably stay off... I like clean, it looks cleaner.
I have material for my interior dash/door panel/a pillar project in... I'm currently moving and getting a much bigger garage that I'll be able to do some work in. I decided to stay with a leather look (vs seude/alcantara look) and wrap my interior with a faux leather material. It looks really good and is really nice to touch, it has good stretch so I should be able to get it looking OEM quality. That'll be my next big update... oh and by the way, if anyone in the bay area is looking for some paint correction work hit me up! I'm trying to do some jobs on the side and have invested heavily in all the products and tools needed to do a great job. I had an incident this past weekend...long story short I turn away for 1 second and my 18 month old kid is using a metal tape measure to draw on my driver's side door. I think he was just trying to polish like dada. anyways...never understimate the phrase "it'll buff out!" I highlighted and old area that was damaged for frame of reference. Velox also has a nicely done front splitter.
That will be next year. |

I saw that, I think I'll make my own in conjunction with the Bayson Lip... so I won't protrude out any farther, but I'd like to fabricate a piece of sheet metal or aluminum to get the bottom of the car flat and help out. I have a CNC machine at my dad's shop that can cut thin metal sheets and I can program pretty well in CAD so I just need to take some measurements and figure out the mounting points. It's on my to do list

I would suggest the 4200NEX if you are planning to upgrade notorious9i6, check out the Aftermarket radio thread for more info. I also have it and its really good(full audio setup).
Also, nice updates, DRL setup on point. |

I would suggest posting pics and mods as you go as it's confusing and hard to find your pictures and updates. Car looks great.

And also quite honestly the updates won't be so frequent at this stage since I have changed mostly everything I have wanted to change - another reason why everything is consolidated onto one page. If my car was stock when I started and I modded things slowly over time, I would have done more of a 'build' thread like you suggested...but I got the car with the go fast parts and I added everything else all within a month or so In the future if I update - I will link back to the post: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...97&postcount=7 Thanks! I love it Wish I had a Subaru earlier in my life. |

^^^ As you said, it is better to have all the mods in the first post...with links to other pages/posts if necessary.
It gets so messy page after page anyway. |

My custom plates finally came in (ordered July 10th, lol).. exterior mods 99.9% complete.
The only thing I may change on exterior is to the OLM (Chargespeed replica) front grill... and get a huge FMIC to fill up all the space. |
