What would you guys say If I sell my 16" wheels (made by Enkei so there quality and light weight) and tires (Bridgestone Potenza all-season) for $700 with genuine saab wheel locks? The wheels have no curb rash and no scracthes. Tires have 1800 miles on them. Just wanted to throw this out there and see who's interested.

Yeah, I had real reservations at first about trading in the WRX for a "lowly re-badge" , but haven't regretted it at all since (especially considering the price).

I'd say there's no hope. WRX wheels barely sell for $300/set in great condition. Usually closer to $2-250. The reason being that they're 16x6.5" and will not clear a few popular big brake kits. The 1998-2001 Impreza 2.5RS wheels are 16x7" and *do* clear some sets. So those are the coveted ones... and still rarely sell for over $400/set, maybe $450 but that's pushing it.

You might find a Saabist who wants them really badly, but it won't happen in the Subaru community. I'm not a defeatist, just preachin' the truth.

Love the red one. I'd probably have to buy the car in red, since the Subaru silver isn't great, in my opinion.

At saab 92x.com they get all huffy when you offer less than $500 for em. I've seen them go there for more than $500.

They don't know any better.

If they want to pay $200 extra for a set of centercaps with a griffon on them, let 'em.

my dream: an '06 STi with a Saab hood/front end conversion (maintaining the fender flairs of course) and xenon projector headlamps. ditch the big wing and add a custom leather interior. now that would be teh new hotness.

Here's my 92x, one of the very few rolling around in Cali. No major mods, just a small amount of basics.

I'd probably do something similar.

2.5" catback... maybe TWE equal-length headers.... Better tires... 20mm rear swaybar...
Kartboy shifter, droplinks and bushings.....

That'd do it. Well, after the stereo stuff.
