Default Tint shops/ tint questions.

Looking into having SRP do my windows here pretty soon. I have seen their work on Black-STi's windows in person and it looked like a good high quality job.

Now my car has the 3rd brake light inside the car on the back shelf behind the rear seat. Does SRP tint behind that light or cut around it?

If they tint behind it and I tinted anywhere from 20-15% tint, would my light be to dull to see clearly for the person behind me?

Just wondering, thank you.

Or he can just cut the surrounding of 3rd brake light if you wanted. It's your choice. SRP is the place to go!

You could also get a 3rd brake light eliminator plate. Darn if I can remember where I ordered mine from it's been so long, but they work and look just fine.

or you could get a midget tethered to a power wire activated by your brake pedal that pops out of the trunk and waves a stop sign when you hit the brakes..

i bet SRP could arrange that too!

even if they tinted behind the light, people behind you would still be able to see it fine (plus you have two other brake lights)..if it really bothered you I'm sure Dave/Dean could cut around it....

Get that thing tinted and lowered, will be looking good!

You can see the light even if you have 5% limo tint!

It won't be as bright, but you can still see it pretty good.

I'm sure he can cut around the brakelight to fit this on your ride.

Good to know guys. I really liked Black-STi's tint. Was that the 18%?

Thinking about going that dark. The tint was good quality.

Right, and my car is "track only" because one of my catylitic converters "fell out" on the freeway and now I only have one.

Guys, I'm all for 5% on all windows if I had my way. Just a word of warning though: a tint ticket will negate a deferred traffic ticket.
Got speeding ticket in 12/2004 in Renton.
Took deferral (dumb move, should have called Mucklestone)
Edgewood gave me a tint ticket in March 2005.
New insurance agent pulled my record this week and presto...my speeding ticket is on there because of the tint violation.
Which equals another 18 bucks a month on my policy payment. Lame.

Anyway....5%, 20%, 35%, SRP is the way to go. Dave is the man.
