Default FS: Turbo kit, suspension, EJ22T block, etc.

UPDATE 3/30/04 - See the webpage http://gladstone.uoregon.edu/~tsmith3/troyweb/

Suspension and turbo kit have been sold, EJ22T block is still available.
WILL TRADE FOR NICE SLR CAMERA SETUP (prefer nikon), also possibly Playstation 2 setup, or other goodies, try me.
.

UPDATE 2: The turbo kit is for sale for sure. Soon2BTurbodRS has dibs, after that it's up for grabs though. I haven't done a lot of looking around yet, but this will be a very comprehensive kit (everything you need). Pics are available here:
http://img20.photobucket.com/albums/...e/Turbo%20Kit/
What's not shown in the pictures is all the stuff inside the car (instrumentation). There is boost, fuel pressure, EGT, and A/F ratio. Including a 2 guage A-pillar pod. Also a big Walbro fuel pump, 55lph i think, or whatever is commonly used. There is also a nice looking catch can, i don't remember what brand it is, and can't look now. Has a mini air filter on top though, cool lookin.

$2,000 for the turbo kit
$500 for the EJ22T short block with a bad #4 piston and bore.

I may be able to arrange for free shipping, but can not guarantee that.

UPDATE:
Pricing for suspension:
New KYB AGX struts are $449 so i'll sell these for $250. New Ground Control springs are $389 so i'd let them go for half of that which is $190. $250 + $190 is $440, i'll sell ya the whole kit for $400, thats less than half the new price.

a good deal with no engine? no. I could sell it w/o an engine, but it wouldn't be a very good deal. I could only discount it by the amount i could sell the engine for, which would be what, like a thousand bucks or less.

Why? You thinking of dropping an EJ257 in there or something? The EJ22T (with proper fuel and management systems) can probably be just as good (better even?).

I don't really want to sell just those parts, i'd much rather sell all the turbo kit stuff together. To be completely honest, i'm not sure exactly which turbo it is, here's a pic of a tag on it...

It says TB03, but i had been told it was a TD-03, anyway, it was in one of the early runs of the ludespeed stage 2 kit. It has very low miles on it, probably under 20,000, and i gave it a good look over after taking it off last weekend, everything seems good.

Trizzle,
good thinking to keep the tech thread tech. I didn't mean to way lay that thread, so thanks for being proactive. From the other thread:

"For the EJ22T short block, lets see, a new one is like 1200-1400 right, so $700 would be very fair for a used one, say a couple hundred to get this one fixed up right, i'll sell it for $500 as is. Does that seem reasonable?"

Complete EJ22-T swaps out of Legacy Turbos, running and including ECU have been running $600-1000 depending on the source. Was this a block you got new? If not, I would say that block in it's current state if worth about $350. If someone was looking to do a ghetto RS-T build, just repairing the sleeve would work for that and then you could get $500 for it. But maybe not, resleeving may have decreased the value because of the extra work to remove the sleeve before overboring if someone wants a high powered build by someone like these guys: http://www.axispowerracing.net/
If someone, like I am, is interested in that kind of build, then leaving it as is and having the whole thing reworked is a better option. Personally, if I owned that block, I wouldn't do any work to it until I had found a buyer and knew what they wanted. If you still have the block in a month, I will take it off your hands, as is. Right now I can't swing it financially. I will be doing a build not dis-similar to the one linked but overbored to 99.5mm (which, with your own core would be about a grand cheaper than the listed price). It would be nice to send the block out and have it done while keeping my Legacy running. but more likely I have just provided food for thought for whatever lucky soul gets this block.

Yeah, this was a brand new shortblock, out of a crate, from subaru. Those i believe run typically a little closer to the 1300 mark. At least that's what i've seen in the past, i don't know if thats still true. I've had one offer for 250 but i'm really not motivated to sell it for much under $500. I'm in no rush, we'll see what happens after a while and if it becomes clear that noone wants it for that price, i may lower it.

Since it was a new block, I would agree, take nothing less than $500...And yes they still go for $1300-1500 new...

Intersted but how much do you think it would cost to repair the block? What would i need? pistons and rods, crank? or is the crank still good?

I'm 99% sure that the crank and rods are all fine. You'll definitely need one piston and the rings for it, and the cylinder will probably just need to be resleeved. Should be doable for 200-400? I'm not sure exactly. When i was checking into it, it wasn't as expensive as i thought it might be. Check around at your local automotive machine shops.

Troy-

The turbo is not going to work for me - my EJ22 is acting up ... I am going to want those AGXs - maybe the GCs too... I'll get back to you.

I'm interested in the strut/spring package. What is the drop with the springs?

Plus, do you still have your RS? If so, I recall that it had white sideskirts. Would you be willing to make a deal on those as well, trading for stock sideskirts?

I'm keeping the RS, and you can have my sideskirts when you pry them from my cold lifeless hands! LOL

The drop is adjustable by turning a threaded collar. You can set it 2" lower than stock, or 1" above stock, and everywhere in between.
