Default STi Tach Shift Light and Beep

I know how to set the shift light on my STi, but it does not beep in addition to the light.
Did it get muted?!
Can I change the setting?
Or might this be an electrical malfunction?

when you set the rpms the next thing to come up is the option to have it beep or not, just turn it till it says on

Lol, yeah... mine about 3 weeks. I never noticed the "On" indicator because I was always using my left hand to turn the shift light knob, and my hand was in the way. Duh.
