Cobb Cams install cost
Anyone have an idea what it will cost to get the cobb cams installed? Looking at total cost here so I can start saving pennies.

This I would like to know too, those cams look like they'll help power quite a bit.
Maybe asking your nearest auto mechanic what kind of rate he'd charge for cam replacement? Also while you're at it, ask how much it would be to change to a lightweight flywheel, I'm doing that too ~Aaron~ |

Here is what Trey told me "Installation of the cams is quite involved. Labor costs are $400 for
installation, and we need the car for two full days. It takes one full day to do the labor, then you have to run the car for an hour to let the cam break in, then you have to let the car cool overnight and the adjust the valves the following morning. Subaru engines have two seperate heads, so doing cams is like doing cams on two motors, if you're comparing them to something like a Toyota or Honda." |
