DENT Sport Garage dyno is official!
I also posted this in the Vendor Announcement forum:
DENT Sport Garage of Norwood, MA is proud to announce the acquisition of a Dyno Dynamics AWD chassis dynamometer. DSG has teamed up with Matt Koestner of MKTuned to form what could be considered an industry powerhouse. DSG is now capable of handling your entire Subaru project from start to finish under one roof. No more taking cars out of the shop to tune. We are currently offering custom in-house developed Subaru reflashes and custom tuning for all Subaru models. For any questions, please contact Matt, his email is [email protected]. For more info on Matt, check here: http://www.dentsport.com/?p=186 We are looking at a 6-8 week time line as far as delivery and setup is concerned. Keep checking the DSG website (www.dentsport.com) for more info!

Probably not a dedicated cell right away, but I can tell you that we will have one of the most advanced fume extraction and cooling airflow systems in the area. There are plans for top-mount specific ducting to insure proper airflow through the core for Subarus and other top-mount setups. We [DSG] have a lot of experience with Subaru vehicles and can promise you the best service in the area.

To the people who complain about low numbers: Do you want a 'big bragging number' or do you want an accurate, repeatable tool for calibrating an engine management system? A DD will not deliver the inflated numbers a Dynojet does, however trap speeds don't lie. |

<Borat>Very nice.</Borat> Also curious about your preferred tuning software. COM allows ECU tuning, but not piggybacks, I think. Not 100% sure.

Raj, we can burn directly to your ECU. It's legal 'cause Ryan was running a similar setup this season. We know that Niall was being sarcastic but since the general audience may have had the same reaction in a non-sarcastic way we decided to give him some credit and treat the response with some thought in case others were actually concerned with that issue.
I love you. Al PS- Jasper, we're working on that. It'll be inline with our competitors. |

[quote=re92;16300892 I think REDrum was being facetious. Check your sarcasm meter [/QUOTE]
It was DSG's FACETIOUS meter that was 'bOrked'; thats why they didn't get it. I was there last week and their sarcasm meter was fully calibrated and spot on. |

Raj- I should elaborate on that flash thing.. the rules of COm (and I'm going to be hit with a Miata tomorrow if I'm wrong) are that you can reflash/reprogram the ECU as long as you don't raise boost.
There are still major advantages to be had without touching the boost, especially with drive by wire that Ryan took advantage of to make more power. I suggest that you do it, whether it's with us or otherwise.. your car will be a lot faster. AL, at home snuggling with Niall. |

Oh I agree. The rule is:
Code:
CHG B. In cars using computers, software or hardware replacement or CHG changes of the factory ECU is permitted. Ignition coil may be upgraded. Any ignition may be used as long as the stock spark trigger CHG (distributor) is used. Forced induction cars must use stock boost CHG levels. Raj |

I could see someone protesting a piggyback in ST since its a non-stock 'spark trigger.' You could also argue that the spark trigger is the crank/cam position sensor, thereby making a piggyback legal.
Good pick on the DD. They're hands down the best dyno for tuning. They're not so good at inflating the horsepower balloon. ~Pete |

If I have an ecutek license and tune, could you still tune my car? Would a DSG tune be comparable in cost to a new Ecutek tune? Feel free to pm me with a rough estimate if so. I finally installed the headers that I bought from you over the summer and ported and wrapped.

Foxboro, absolutely we can do that. I'll have Matt PM you today about detalis. The cost would be comparible. For a customer without Ecutek, the savings would be great if they were considering either our flash or Ecutek since we're not selling a license to use our product.
