Default New UP/DP, oil leak on Turbo

Howdy, and merry Christmas eve...

Well, spent the day putting on an UP and turbo back...went for a test run and got alot of white smoke. I assumed it was burn off from greasy hands, but it didn't go away. I pulled the heat shield back off and there's a spray pattern that seems to be comming from the steel pipe on the bottom of the turbo between the two halves. This is the oil out line, right? We didn't ever loosen that, so I'm confused as to why it might be leaking now and not before. Does anyone have a PDF file of the shop manual for this that I could examine? Any other ideas? I don't want to just get in there and start turning wrenches until I have a better idea about what's happened.

Thanks,
Cody

When i had Aeroism install my up/down pipe, he said something about the banjo fitting on the turbo being loose on newer models. Something about pressure then you install the pipe. No idea, but he tightened it before i drove off.

I'm pretty sure it's comming from that banjo fitting under the turbo...it seems to be a pretty high volume of oil at good pressure, as the spray pattern is pretty wide and there's an accumulating puddle of oil under the car...

ever so slightly nervous...

the white smoke is the coolant burning off from when it was leaking on your pipes and what not. it only last about 15 min. of driving. the oil drain is NOT pressurized so it probably isn't that. just make sure it is on all the way. if you are experiencing a leak it is most likely coolant. just cut hoses if they split and reattatch.
