The mudflap thread
PUT all your mudflap projects in here!
http://www.dirtyimpreza.com/forums/s...485#post113485 so i found this out on dirtyimpreza.com and so i decided to try this out since there was an ikea right down the road .....These are Dralla cutting boards....thin flexible Polyethylene which is 14.5" X 11.5".......i got 4 packs which have 2 cutting boards in them so i spent a total of $8.82 for 8 flaps!! i used the dimensions from the JDM sti flaps and made replicas of them... and these turned out really good!!! i havent put a logo on them yet but i was thinking of putting the sti decals on them.... i dont auto or rally X so these will last me ...other people say they rally with them and they hold while others dont.....but they dont look like cheap material..... i test fitted them and they look great on the car.......so heres pics of the 2 sets i made...ill get more pics when i get them installed on the car Last edited by steve; 11-02-2009 at 12:02 PM. |

Some rounded edges would make them look perfect, otherwise, good job.
What did you use for reference to cut them out? |

thanks guys ......haha um i used some metal snips b/c i had nothing else around....but they arnt all that hard to cut so i would say some heavy duty scissors or some long snips of some sort....not too hard so yea ....but yea im going to round the edges and add the STI logo to them ....im going to make a stencil of the exact size of the logo that comes on the JDM sti flaps and use a paint pen or something that wont come off easy so im testing the paint pen on the left over scrap pieces ....to see if they will withstand intense rubbing, water, flexing......

if you could somehow get a stencil of the subaru text or somethin, and spray it on, that would make them look like they were rally armour brand or somerthing. nice work tho man, by far the cleanest diy flaps iv seen.
