Default block heaters

Anybody in the SLC area running the block heater for the winter? Especially with an e85 tune... Feedback would be great cause I'm about to install mine this week. Thanks.

I run one. Not really necessary unless its really cold. Installation is really simple but takes a lot of torque to get the coolant plug out. If you have any questions hit me up

Dialing in cranking tables should be enough to make it start unless it gets below zero. It's nice however to come out, start up your car and have your heater blow warm air right off the bat. Will increase the longevity of the car also

"Will increase the longevity of the car also." Exactly. It was recommended by my tuner too. Figure for 40$, why not.

Plus it makes you car look tuff to have a 3 pronged cord hanging out your grill

Well I'm right there with ya: dom 3r, id 1000's and tgv deletes. Yet mine is in a carport. Its not like I have to try more than once to start it, just isn't the same start at 15 degrees. I'm all about it if it makes even a hint of difference. How's your idle with those dw's?

Who tuned it? Just curious cause I've always heard that its difficult to fine tune the idle on those.

I lol when a shop doesn't recommend 1000s because they "cause poor idle". Every car I've seen that has been properly tuned idles like stock.
