1st question: any issues / worry with the side skirt rubbing the paint off the .. err... stock side skirts?

2nd question: I have replicas... does the stock "wings" have any time of padding, similar to what, I believe the 2015 ones have (based on another thread)?

Thanks!

Hi,
No issues after a few years with paint rubbing off. The real ones have a thing rubber strip that acts as a buffer in a few key areas (which I'm sure are intended to prevent any sort of rubbing).

Yes, the tiny rubber strip is similar to what is on the OEM front spoiler. Also, has padded double sided tape where it touches the side of the side skirt.

As for the bottom, if installed correctly, these barely touch the stock side skirts.

@SpicyPeaNut - the replicas came with a t-shaped rubber strip (stick on yourself) along the edge of the 'wing'.

@walker111 - 1) Ok. I may want to invest on the padded double sided tape, or foam / weather stripping to act as a buffer between the wing and the side skirt.
2) I wish the replicas came with the rubber thing for the front skirt..
3) your comment re: barely touching the skirt.. I can't envision how that works unless you put a washer in between (i.e. nut, washer, stock skirt, washer, side skirt, screw/bolt)

The little rubber grommets that come with the kit (same as the front lip) have a lip to them. After you drill the hole, the grommet goes in and the lip prevents it from going thru the hole. Once you mount the skirt, it really only touches that rubber lip. I can try to take a picture...

I just recently bought the s206 replicas they are actually pretty close to the real thing(would buy the oem if I had the money) I was wondering if yours came with those rubber things on the ends that attach to the screws or did you buy those ?
