Default deep scratches on bumper sides. how to fix? touchup paint?

hi...i just noticed that i have 2 scratches about 2 inches long each, running parallel to each other on the rite side of my bumper. the scratches are deep enough that the black plastic is showing. what would be the best way to fix it? should i try to sand it down a bit and use touchup paint to cover it up? compunds?any suggestions? thanks alot.

I've got two `down the the plastic' scratches too...the touch up paint kit from subaru looks more like nail polish than anything...though I bet it would look better than leaving it, as I've done to this point! :-)

I'd be interested to know what other do also...

I had someone "brush" my left rear corner bumper in the middle of the night, which left a couple of roughly 3x3" patches of "car rash", with some of the scratches down through the primer. I picked up a complete set of stuff from www.paintscratch.com (including wet/dry sandpaper and rubbing compound), with a primer pen, and flex-added versions of paint & clear coat in spray cans. I just sanded the area and applied primer to the deep scratches, but if I did it again, I would probably also add the step of using a Bondo-like compound to fill the deep scratches, then sand, apply primer, and do the sanding and painting to finish it off. My bumper is the silverstone metallic, and I was amazed at how good the result was -- you can't spot it from more than 6 inches away, and that's because of the slight depressions of the deepest scratch areas.
