P1507 won’t go away...
Hello, this problem came about 2 weeks ago when I swapped A/C compressors. I had trouble removing and halfway removed the intake manifold. This didn’t work so my buddy brought a flex joint over so I could reach the bolt in the back of the compressor, this worked. But while bolting the manifold back down I lost a couple bolts. Not sure if this caused the CEL but anyways when I started the car back up the idle was horrendous... jumped up to 2k and stayed there for a second and dropped. Typical p1507 symptoms. I have cleaned my IACV 3 times now, 2 times I did the more thorough cleaning method. Replaced the gasket twice. Cleaned my MAF and disconnected the negative terminal on the battery. I reset the ECU and cleared the code, started the car and it was at 1500 but slowly crept up to around 2k and to no surprise, the CEL came back on with p1507. I also replaced the neutral safety switch and the problem still persists. Any help is greatly appreciated, I really don’t want this to be the reason for selling my car...

We're also fighting this p1507 code on our 2002 wrx. Hopefully you found a cure already for yours. I'm at a loss with ours.
Clear code. Start up, idles to 2200 rpm for about ten seconds, then throws the p1507 code, and goes into limp mode. I've changed the neutral switch, and verified that it does work. I've changed the iacv with another (used) that was in our pile, made zero difference. Checked for vacuum leaks with my boost leak detector. Nothing. I've checked all of my grounds, and they're all good. I'm super frustrated. I've ordered a new iacv, it'll be here in a week. I just very much doubt that I would have 2 bad valves that give the exact same symptoms. But hey, maybe.. Any other insight would be greatly appreciated. I'll hopefully get to run the snap on modis on it tomorrow and further look for answers |
