Sorta long post, mostly on topic.

Last Saturday I went to an open house at SODO MOTO. It was cool to sit in (and drive if I wanted) the kei cars. I have been lusting after an AZ-1, but I found I just don't fit. The only one I fit comfortably in was a Beat.

This little guy was interesting. (Jimny I think?)

Double Shot Cappuccino

I went for a ride-along in this all-stock R33 GTR v-spec. Yeah it's fast, but the interior reminded me of our old 280sx. Not for sale (unless you are Canadian)

ALSO NOT FOR SALE

Here' s a couple street legal race cars parked next to each other.

This weekend I've been invited to show the 68 at another JDM importer down in Federal Way. Why not?

The R34 is a mean looking beast, but I still prefer the smoother lines of the R33.

But yeah, would love a V4 in white.
Hey, I specified JDM GC8 STI.

You know what I would love to own that is almost obscurely nonexistant? A 1997 STI Type R in Chase Yellow. Coupes (aka Type Rs) are already hard enough to find, let alone one in that color which was only ever on this one model. GIS hardly yields any results at all. Not to mention this was the first ever STI coupe.

God yes, that's the ideal, but like you said, hard to find.

Beau, what show in Federal Way?

I agree, R33 for me.

Honda, honestly I'm not sure what it is. A place called JMC Classics contacted me thorugh Instagram, said they wanted me to attend a meet they are having. Not sure if it's an open house, or an actual meet, if I'll be center stage or way out in the back 40. Who knows? They say they are right near I5 and Wild Waves.

https://www.japanesemusclecar.com/

Looks like they don't have much of an inventory.

*edit

Looks like a typical car meet / open house thing. I might skip it, my wife was talking about getting out of town for the weekend.

Huh,

That's right by the house. I may have to drive past and check the place out.

I drove one of those around Japan for a few hours, such a fun car and so much power down low. It would come out of corners with ease and without having to downshift, it was like an endless well of power no matter what RPMs you were at. Not sure if it had any modifications beyond an exhaust, that's all I could pick out.

If anyone is interested, let me know. I've collected some good interior parts to go with it as well as new hardtop, Enkei wheels with tires, and custom valved Koni shocks. Would be a great platform for a SR20DE swap.

What year? I'm kind of interested but I really shouldn't be.

That sounds like a great experience! I love it in white. I think there are at least two down here (since they're both silver but have different plates). I actually snagged this picture on my block coming back from the gym one day:

Not sure how he can claim the interior is a 10 with seats like that.. Nostalgias me back to my mom's 90 GT-S she had. The 10 speaker stereo was awesome back then.

Also, going to look at a 1-owner 85 Supra on Sunday.

Yikes, total crack pipe for sure. It looks super dated. I've said it before, but I'd be down with an ST205 for sure.

Love me some All-Trac! I want to own one and do an insane build on it like this one.

Someone should buy it and swap the drivetrain into a classic mini.

Why wouldn’t you just buy the drivetrain from a jdm engine importer and source the rear diff?

Also, have people made a classic mini into awd with these?

Technically No, but Bad Obsession Motorsports is working at a pace only a glacier could love to do it.

1968. Definitely needs work, but would be drivable with some tuning of the carbs.

Literally 1 bid, sold for $15k. That's a hot bargain for a bone stock version 1 STI. Take it to a few meets and whatnot but otherwise, that's a car to hang onto for the long haul.
