![]() So I have a 2012 wrx I’m about to build I have a 257 block b25 heads and I’m about to get and sti intake manifold do I need to get and sti ecu or can I just use my wrx ecu?

![]() If you do a sti trans you'll want the sti ecu for dccd or a controller. But you can run the wrx ecu for sure. Compression was actually higher on your other engine. Why did you swap the ej255 is just as good. And the d25 cylinder head are better imo.

![]() I thought I had motor problems heard a loud ticking coming from the driver side in the engine bay then it started to missfire so I changed all the spark plugs and the missfire and ticking when away cylinder 2 spark plug wasn’t even hand tight so that was the source of the ticking but I had already bought the motor and the heads but have not gotten the valve train yet
