![]() I know there is tons of posts about this, but I want to see if I am missing something.
16 sti, blouch turbo dominator, tomei headers, cobb downpipe, short ram, invidia n1 exhaust, 1000cc injectors, aem fuel pump, fuel rails, flex fuel set up, process west FMIC. I am now throwing a misfire cylinder 1 on e85. I swapped all spark plugs, gapped down more, swapped coilpacks, stayed misfire cyl 1, replaced coilpack, still throwing it, did a compression test, was good, swapped injectors positions, still misfire 1, pulled the injector while running to see if it would run rougher or the same, ran rougher, which tells me its not a true miss. Did a wet compression test with scope, all good. Is there anything else I am missing, or is it tune related?I did give the data logs and tune over to Cobb, but in the mean time seeing if I missed any other parts to check. I did put 93 back in and still misfiring so its not a bad batch of gas.

![]() You have only scratched the surface of what could be causing a P0301 CEL.
You've done the basics but now you have to look deeper. Google P0301 and you will see the L-O-N-G list of possible problems. When was the last time you changed your fuel filter? How do you know it's not a bad batch of gas? Just because you "switched back" to a 93 grade does not mean you do not have a bad batch of gas. And if it was a bad batch of gas, the CEL would not just automatically disappear like magic just because you went up to a higher grade fuel. |

![]() Was this a OTS tune or ProTune? I am not aware of a COBB OTS tune for some of those parts. You could be borderline on all cylinders but only cylinder 1 is tripping.

![]() Its protuned, it tuned on 93 first perfectly fine, and then on second pull on e35 it hiccuped and now has the misfire, but everything mechanically is good.
