Default I Love This Product for Paint Chips

I just wanted to post a thread about how I've used the paint chip fix product by Dr. Colorchip. Within a month of purchasing my pre-owned STi, I got a big chip on my hood on the highway. It was a real eye sore. So I started looking for products to fill the chip. I had used the paint pens before and just thought it was way too much work and didn't want to deal with the process of wet sanding, etc. During my search I came across the product by Dr. Colorchip. I was impressed by the fact that the process only included a swipe on of the paint, then scrubbing with a solvent for the excess. It sounded simple so I tried it.

I was very impressed with the results. The process is super easy and the results are great. Especially when viewing the car from a distance or glancing over areas. I've now used it multiple times to fix chips in the metal and on the fenders. Daily driving in Dallas means my car takes a beating, so I've started using it about once every 3 months to touch up. It's not perfect, but its quick and easy. And I highly recommend it for fixing small chip.

I'm getting ready to do the left side of the front fender so I'll post some before/after pics if you all are interested.

Any other great easy-to-use products out there? I'd love to hear about them!

Sounds like you should've just gotten clearbra at the time of purchase especially if your car is a daily driver and care about not having chips.

I've tried Dr.ColorChip in the past with decent results. It's good if you bought a used car or have a car with many tiny chips you want to make look 'better' without spending real money.

The best result still came from me just using simple touchup paint, layers of clear coat, 2-3 weeks of dry time, and wet sanding. It was still a 1ft car after the repair.
